UPDATE-Bobbi Kristina Brown has become the primary focus of her father Bobby Brown following the death of her mother Whitney Houston.
Reportedly Brown has been uninvited to his ex-wife’s funeral according to TMZ.
“Bobby Brown is ‘extremely disappointed’ after hearing that several members of Whitney Houston’s family do not want him to attend the singer’s funeral. Bobby Brown still hasn’t seen his daughter three days after Whitney Houston’s death and he thinks Whitney’s family specifically, Cissy Houston, is throwing up the road block.”
The “Tender Roni” singer cut his New Edition reunion tour short and flew to Los Angeles, California on Sunday afterlearning of Whitney’s harrowing demise to be with their daughter who had suffered a nervous breakdown. The tabloid statement directly contradicts Brown’s statement on Monday which explicitly stated Bobbi Kristina was staying with him.
It’s no secret how tumultuous Brown and Houston’s marriage was as their troubles were splattered across varied tabloids at their worse. Despite the past and a rumored lingering family feud Brown’s reps flatly denies the claim the ABC News,
“Any report or statement that does not originate from my office about Bobby Brown or his representatives, is not authorized by Bobby Brown. We are not focused on reports, stories or false reports for that matter.”
In an update Bobby released a follow up update to several media outlets earlier today,
“My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better.”.
“We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother’s death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected.”
Whitney Houston’s invite-only funeral will take place Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.
Bobbi Kristina needs the love and support of her family now more than ever.
