Matt Damon was supposed to make his directorial debut on a movie starring himself and John Krasinski, but has now decided to back out of leading the project.
According to sources, the actor decided to pull out because of “script issues”.
Deadline Hollywood reported differently, saying that the reason Damon opted out of directing the film was because he didn’t have enough time. He will still star in the movie though.
The untitled film, which was cowritten by Krasinski and Damon is about a salesman who arrives in a small town only to have his whole life called into question.
Director Gus Van Sant will step in for Damon and the project will start production in April.
