Since 20th Century Fox released the trailer for Prometheus, fans have been itching for more and more “intelligence” on the project. Total Film caught up with Charlize Theron to discuss her role as Meredith Vickersin in the sci-fi thriller.
“I play somewhat of a villain in it,” she says. “…She’s not a believer. She’s not a scientist. She is the red tape that everyone has to go through… She’s working with the company that’s sponsoring this whole thing and you can feel she definitely has an agenda, which we pick up in the third act. She’s more quiet thunder.”
Prometheus is about a team of explorers that discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a dangerous journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Also starring Idris Elba, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Patrick Wilson.
