Jared Harris joins the already spectacular cast of Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln.’ Harris will be filling the role of Ulysses S. Grant, the man who would become the 18th President of the United States of America.
The very pick Daniel Day-Lewis has agreed to play the iconic Abraham Lincoln. Also joining the cast is Jackie Earle Haley, who plays Alexander Steven the arch nemesis of Lincoln. He is mostly known for his infamous speech in which he said slavery was the natural condition of the blacks. Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Cordon-levitt, John Hawkes, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and David Strathairn are all confirmed to star.
The story focuses on Lincoln’s clash with the powerful men in his cabinet during his path to abolition slavery, end the Civil War and preserving the Union.
Shooting begins this fall with a late 2012 release date.
