Today Kimora Lee Simmons staunchly denied rumors that she had separated from her second husband Djimon Hounsou by swiftly retweeting truncated messages to some ill informed fans.
Here’s an excerpt from the tweets;
“@djimonhounsou separating evn b a RUMOR!? They r STUCK 2gethr!!”
Kimora retweeted another message which read;
“Wht SHE said! RT @kieya7664”
Tabloid news source MediaTakeOut.com had originally reported the separation stating it was due in part to “friction” within the relationship. They went on to report that Kimora was even considering moving back to New York. Kimora pictured recently without her wedding ring certainly didn’t help things as it only further fueled the rumor that the pair had parted ways.
However Kimora maintains that her family remains firmly grounded and balanced as she even made statements in a recent interview with Parade magazine that on her list of priorities, family comes first.
“It’s about prioritizing. Just take it one step at a time. Do the best that you can. I’m a mom and I have two husbands, an ex husband and a next husband. It’s a blended family and it’s very hard to keep things together, but we’re happy and we live in love. Djimon and I are so happy. Like every mom, you try to juggle, but I also want people to know that you don’t have to be a superhero. I’m not a super hero; I have a team of people who help me. I have a great family support system. I want people to know that you don’t have to do all of this stuff by yourself. There’s no award that goes for doing everything yourself. I applaud mothers everywhere.”
Whew, glad to hear this was only a rumor. I mean I saw that Demi Moore and Ashton thing coming but Kimora and Djimon make such a cute couple. I hope they continue to keep love and family as their primary priorities.
