Update- Viola Davis had some baby news to share on Monday night. The Help actress finalized the adoption of baby Genesis with her husband Julian Tennon. In August Viola announced the news and now baby Genesis will join the blended family which includes two children by Tennon from a previous relationship.
Last night both Tennon and Viola were in attendance at Elle’s 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute.
Actress Jennifer Aniston who was also honored at the event made a dazzling entrance in a plunging front and back dress. Other notable women at the event were Barbra Streisand, Michele Pfeiffer, Nicole Richie, Frieda Pinto and Reese Witherspoon who joked about making out Jennifer Aniston.
At the event Viola received a standing ovation when she stated,
“What keeps me in the business is hope, and that’s the hope that women of color are also part of the narrative,” Davis said. “(I’m) sending a telepathic message to you: Every time some young actress of color comes in a room with a character they’re auditioning for that’s not ethnically specific, that you have a space in your brain that can open up and embrace them and allow them in, because I’m telling you, their lives are just as fascinating and multifaceted.”
Jennifer Aniston attended the event with her beau Justin Theroux. Reese joked about Jennifer:
“You just want to get your nails done with her and you want to make out with her at the same time. At least I do.”
“And that’s what we do sometimes on Saturdays.”
