“American Idol” season 13, episode 4: “Auditions #4 – Atlanta” premieres tonight on Fox, where the auditions continue as the judges resume their quest to find the next singing superstar.
On Wednesday, American Idol zoomed off to Motor City for Season XIII auditions in Detroit. The birthplace of Motown turned up contestants that you have to see – and hear – to believe! Boy, did Detroit live up to its musical reputation.
Tonight American Idol returns to Atlanta. The Pants on the Ground guy, from season 9, is back. At least five of the singers on the show tonight make it to the final 31. And 40 total folks made it out of Detroit, including several who journeyed from the South.
Here’s Fox’s description of “American Idol” season 13:
“Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, American Idol XIII features a new all-star judging panel, including Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., along with in-house mentor Randy Jackson. Seacrest and the judges travel across the country, with stops in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Boston; Detroit; Omaha, Neb., Salt Lake City; and San Francisco, searching for those who have the potential to transform from an everyday singer into a successful recording artist and join the ranks of famous idol alumni, such as Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Scotty McCreery and Phillip Phillips.”
