If you’ve ever resorted to having your computer serviced by the Geek Squad, you might want to remove potentially compromising photos from your device, because they could end up on the Internet.
This is what a University of Alabama art student allegedly found out the hard way when she dropped off her computer with the Best Buy computer service company to have it repaired.
According to the lawsuit filed against Best Buy, the student accused a Geek Squad employee of posting her naked photos online. The woman says she dropped her laptop off at Best Buy in August 2011 and in May 2013. She was reportedly told by a co-worker that naked photos of her were circulating online. Her lawyer says that the photos were for art and not for the purposes of seducing anyone — not that it even matters.
