Sara Rue joins Tempestt Blesdsoe (replacing Courtney Henggeler) in the NBC pilot Guys With Kids. The comedy pilot follows three guys (Anthony Anderson, Jesse Bradford and Zach Cregger) who are excited new parents who behave like children themselves.
In the pilot Rue will play Sheila, a beautiful but controlling perfectionist divorce attorney who is the ex-wife of Bradford’s character.
The actress is best known for her starring roles in the TV shows Popular and Less Than Perfect.
Late night show host Jimmy Fallon is on board to executive produce along with Charlie Grandy, who will also write the script. Scott Ellis will direct the pilot.
Rue joins female cast members Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Tempestt Bledsoe on the comedy pilot.
This marks Rue’s second show this pilot season. She also will play Kim in ABC’s Malibu Country, a show about a broken family that moves from Nashville to Malibu because of her musician husband’s cheating ways.
