Weeks after popping the question to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey, Mike Hill is reminiscing about when they first met more than a year ago.
The Fox Sports 1 newscaster uploaded a screenshot of the first moment the two embraced after she chose him out of a group of three potential suitors on Steve Harvey’s former talk show.
“She knew then, I’m sure! 😂😂#WhenCynthiaMetMike #IGotMyPrize,” Hill wrote in the photo’s caption, in which he also tagged Harvey’s and Bailey’s Instagram handles.
The reflective moment led fans’ collective hearts to flutter and they gushed about the message in Hill’s comments section.

Bailey also caught wind of the post and responded in an equally reflective yet thankful tone.
“You never know where God is going to show up. I had no idea that I would be meeting my best friend & future husband that day, Thank u @iamsteveharveytv❤️” she commented, giving thanks to Harvey for putting the pair together on “Steve” last spring.
Bailey certainly owes Harvey some credit for pairing her with Hill in more ways than one. Not only was Hill one of the potential daters the “RHOA” star had to choose from, but he was also one of the ones whom Bailey was prepared to cut.
“Cynthia Bailey was going to pick somebody else,” Harvey admitted to “Entertainment Tonight” last year. “I told her, ‘You’re not picking that guy, you gon’ pick this guy [referring to Hill]. “I talked her into him, they started dating. … So now it’s pretty serious and they’re exclusive. She’s found somebody that’s she’s crazy about.”
Bailey had reservations, since Hill is based in Los Angeles and she resides in Atlanta. However, when the couple appeared on “Steve” to give an update on how things were going, Bailey said it was Hill’s consistency that won her over.
“He was very consistent throughout the whole time,” she said of her now-fiancé.
