Will Smith’s Eases His Way Back on Social Media with Son Trey Smith After Actor’s Ex-Wife Sheree Zampino Says She’s Hopeful That the World Will Forgive Him for Oscars Slap

While Chris Rock has yet to tease the possibility of reconciliation with Will Smith after the actor slapped him at this year’s Academy Awards, the Oscar winner’s ex-wife and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Sheree Zampino is hoping fans can forgive the “King Richard” star as he eases his way back onto social media.

While talking to The Daily Mail in a new interview, the 54-year-old reality star shared, “I hope people allow him to be human.” She added, “I really hope for that because I stand in support of him; we are on good terms.”

In the aftermath of the fallout from the slap, Smith was banned from all in-person and virtual events related to the awards. The veteran star also resigned from the Academy of Arts and Science after issuing several apologies to the organizations and fellow Hollywood peers.

Reflecting on her ex’s tumultuous past few months, Zampino said, “You cannot heal without forgiveness.”

“I hope with him – he’s been in the business since 16 with ‘Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.’ He gives so generously, he puts love into everything he does, he’s so gracious, so kind, he has heart connection to his fans,” she continued. “He has given us years of laughter.”

The entrepreneur’s remarks come on the heels of the “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star’s return to social media.

In his first non-Oscars-related post, the actor uploaded a clip of a young gorilla taunting a much more giant gorilla by poking it multiple times in the backside. He captioned the short video, “Me trying to get back on social.”

The next post was a video of Smith and his eldest son Trey whom he shares with Zampino. The video shows them trying to capture a tarantula that made its way into the Smith household.

“Posting this from a Holiday Inn,” wrote Smith.

Zampino reacted to the video and wrote, “No more family dinners at the house for me!”
