‘Mama Giving Smoke as Always’: Diddy’s Mom Janice Combs Interrupts Rapper’s Instagram Live to Issue Warning to Ma$e

Janice Combs is a mama bear through and through. The mother of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs let it be known this after she issued a stern warning to former Bad Boy Records rapper Ma$e

The incident went down over the weekend while the music executive was in the middle of an Instagram Live video. “Shout out to the LOX, Ma$e, Biggie, Busta — I’m talking about everybody that’s on the … my mom said, ‘Ma$e?’” Diddy said in the clip Saturday, July 23, streaming session captured byThe Art of Dialogue.

The “Last Night” musician went on to say, “Yeah, we still love Ma$e. It’s always going to be love,” before being interrupted by his mother, who mumbled something. Diddy then pans the camera to her in the middle of saying, “…. mess with my son.”

The two chuckled before Diddy turned the camera back around, smiling. “Mama giving smoke as always,” he added.

Many critics took to the comment section, weighing in on Mama Janice’s commentary. Several people said that perhaps this is a feud she should steer clear away from, including one Instagram user who wrote,  “While she’s sipping on some luxury drinks, wearing her fine ass jewels, bought with mase’ p’s. Just say thanks. That’s all.”

Another person felt, “She should have put that energy into her son from birth & maybe he wouldn’t have did Mase the way he did. Starts at home.”

“Mom the main enabler in his life,” claimed a third online user. “…and wonder why he like that.” “They betta leave Mase name out of it before some skeletons fall out the closet!!” added a fourth.

The former pals turn faux have feuded on and off, with the latter releasing a single last March accusing Diddy of exploiting Notorious B.I.G.’s death. What started as a dispute over publishing rights has now seen the release of a diss record and allegations that Diddy was behind the technical difficulties during Ma$e’s performance at the Lovers & Friends concert.

During a discussion on Clubhouse, Ma$e explained his motivation behind the new record “Oracle 2: The Legend of Mason Betha,” which he aimed lyrics such as “We ain’t gang, we ain’t goals, we ain’t family, ain’t foes, and we definitely ain’t bros. We ain’t nothing, N—a” at his former boss.

The “Feel So Good” musician shared that he’s made several attempts to sort out his differences with Diddy regarding his musical career and the masters to his discography but to no avail. The former rapper claimed Diddy has refused to give those back.
