‘Nailed It’: Ciara and Son Future Stun Fans with Their Halloween Costumes as Cardi B and Offset

Ciara‘s fans were nearly at a loss for words on Friday, Oct. 30, after the “Goodies” singer revealed that her 2020 Halloween costume was Cardi B.

In the post captioned “CARDI. Swipe to the right for a Surprise. 😎
#Halloween,” the 35-year-old dressed up as the rapper did on her 2018 “Invasion of Privacy” album cover. The mother of three wore a balcony-and-white checked jacket with a matching belt and a neon-yellow wig. She embellished the look with white sunglasses, a burgundy lip, and Cardi’s signature tongue pose. As fans swiped to view the additional images and video, they were met with Ciara’s 6-year-old son Future Zahir portraying Migos rapper Offset. In the added clip, Future and his mom are jamming and singing along to Cardi B’s hit song “Drip,” featuring Migos.

The “Level Up” singer also took the time to encourage fans to vote by showing off her patriotic nails with pictures of former vice president Joe Biden and vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris. Fans relished Ciara and Future’s Halloween presentations.

“She did that 👏🏾👏🏾.”

“This look good 😳🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”

“Not lil future dressed up as one of the migos😂😂Too cute.”

“An iconic look.”

“She nailed it.”

The singer is notorious for paying homage to artists she loves. Back in 2019 Ciara and her Seattle Seahawks quarterback husband Russell Wilson made headlines after they dressed up as Beyoncé and Jay-Z — in their collaboration as the duo The Carters — from the opening scene of that couple’s “Apesh**t” music video where the famous couple was standing in front of the famed Mona Lisa painting.

The Wilsons mimicked the 2018 video almost perfectly but added a twist by replacing the Mona Lisa with a photo of former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama. Ciara sported the satin two-piece lavender suit with a low V-cut and red knotted rope belt. Ciara went further to recreate Beyoncé’s look with a diamond necklace and matching earrings and by styling her hair in a half-up ponytail. Russell, on the other hand, rocked a turquoise suit with white sneakers, black socks and a gold necklace.
