It’s safe to say Remy Ma and Papoose‘s daughter Reminisce MacKenzie is a total daddy’s girl.
The “Melanin Magic” rapper, 38, took to Instagram on Sunday, June 21 with a video that showed herself, baby Reminisce and her husband celebrating Father’s Day. Papoose, 42, was holding the 1-year-old in his arms when Remy walked over to give him a kiss on the cheek.
“No!” the toddler yelled and whimpered. When Remy leaned in again, baby Reminisce hugged her father tightly and pushed her mother away. At one point in the video, baby Reminisce even smacked her mother on the cheek before playing coy.
Remy acted shocked by her daughter’s actions and jokingly said, “I don’t want neither one of y’all little crusty kisses.” It was clear the rap diva’s feelings were hurt just a little bit.
Nevertheless, she still penned a beautiful message to her husband on Instagram and wrote, “I’ve never in my life saw a man so happy to be a father. The entire pregnancy you were smiling from ear to ear and documenting EVERYTHING! BOTH, I and @ReminisceMacKenzie are in love with you LOL 💋 Thank you for being a great father to our baby and all our grown kids as well. We love you Daddy🥰 #BLACKLOVE #MeetTheMackies #RemyMa #RealFathersExist.”
Social media users were in stitches over Remy’s video, adding that baby Reminisce is unabashedly a daddy’s girl.
A fan of the “Conceited” artist wrote, “She was ready to cave ya chest in over her daddy 😩. ” Another person commented, “😻 This is so cute she don’t play bout her dada!! She finna put the paws on Remy about papoose😂.”
Other users applauded Papoose for being a “helluva of a father.” Someone wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to a real one loyalty don’t come easy enjoy💪🏾💯 salute to you and ya family b”
Baby Reminisce is Papoose and Remy’s only child together, and they welcomed her in December 2018.
The “Golden Child” rapper has three children from a previous relationship, and Remy also has a son.
The second-time mother and Papoose couldn’t be more thankful for their daughter. In a May 28 post about her daughter, Remy wrote, “One of my proudest accomplishments🥰 With all the ugliness in the world I can say I am so grateful to wake up to this little bundle of beautiful.”
