Taraji P. Henson Fans Go Wild After She Shows That ‘Cookie’ Can Slay the #SavageChallenge Too

Taraji P. Henson sent fans into a tizzy this week when she reshared a video compilation of her hit “Empire” character Cookie Lyon set to the tune of the new viral #SavageChallenge.

The new social media dance trend, inspired by Megan Thee Stallion‘s hit single “Savage,” has taken the internet by storm, with celebrities like Ryan Destiny, singer Normani, KeKe Palmer and Kandi Burruss giving it a go.

On Saturday, Henson, 49, reshared a montage created by Instagram user @_icomplexity showing her character Cookie’s best moments from the hit Fox drama “Empire.” The sharp-tongued, sassy matriarch of the Lyon family has been a fan favorite on the show, which is in its sixth and final season.

Fans agreed, saying Cookie’s “savage challenge” was the best they’d seen yet.

The video even drew a response from Megan Thee Stallion herself, who wrote, “I love youuuuuuu!”

The “Empire” star is no stranger to setting social media abuzz. Late last year, she shared throwback video of one her holiday specials, co-hosted with friend and co-star Terrence Howard, that left fans fawning over her smokin’ hot looks.

In the brief clip, Henson dazzles in a plunging black dress, designed by fashion house Berta, which specializes in bridal wear.

The Washington, D.C., native continues playing up to the camera, fixing her curly hair and throwing fans a few seductive looks.
