Popular Food Blogger Thanks Public for Their Prayers, Help In Locating Missing Teenage Son

Popular food blogger Angela Davis, better known as “The Kitchenista,” is feeling a bit of relief now that her teenage son has been found after going missing for several days.

In a statement posted to Twitter, Davis confirmed the 16-year-old had been located. The self-taught cook had turned to the public for help finding her son Jaden, who disappeared over the weekend.

Davis had been keeping her followers abreast of any developments in the case and previously tweeted that Jaden had contacted his granddad to let him know he was okay. His location was still unknown at that point.

In a tweet to her 125,000 followers, Davis made a desperate plea to help to bring her child home. Her son, Jaden Davis, hadn’t been heard from since Feb. 22 and was last seen in the Greenacres area near Canterbury Avenue and Picadilly Road, not far from 8 Mile on Detroit’s west side, the Detroit Metro Times reported.

“Urgent ask … Never thought I’d need to do this, but my son is missing in #Detroit and I need help locating,” Davis wrote in a memo posted to her Twitter account. She shared a similar message on Instagram, stating her son is a student at the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy and didn’t have his cell phone on him at the time of his disappearance.

Jaden is 5’9″, 175 pounds with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and black pants. The teen also has a dragonfly tattoo on his forearm and a clock/rose tattoo on his upper arm, according to his mother.

“I’m sad for whatever Jaden is going through,” she tweeted. “He hasn’t been home in five days. He never wanted me to post him here, and now his face is all over the news. I feel horrible but I have to do everything in my power to find him. Just praying for his safety.

“Nothing prepares you for this,” she added.
