John Legend was named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine last week, and Snoop Dogg decided to have a little fun with it.
He did so by superimposing his face on Legend’s body and giving himself the title. The cover also showed Snoop with a big joint dangling from his mouth, and he replaced some of the wording too.
“How a crip took your chick,” the fake cover read.
And in the caption, Snoop simply wrote, “Thank. You 🤣👊🏿.”
Some might say the “Gin and Juice” rapper has some strong editing skills, because more than one person believed his cover was real and he was actually named Sexiest Man Alive.
“Look at God workin,” wrote Ray J in the comments.
But then he caught himself and realized what was actually going on. “Wait I thought this was real lol,” wrote the reality star and businessman.
It looked like MC Hammer thought Snoop made the annual People cover as well, because he wrote “My Dogg.”
Other celebs who commented was Layzie Bone from the rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, because he left two strong arm emojis and four fire ones under the photo.
A lot of others also responded to Snoop’s post and seemed to get a huge kick out of it.
“Can’t love this enough Snoop,” one person wrote.
“lol this is who I think is the sexiest man. Sorry John Legend,” wrote someone else.
“That’s what am talking about ❤️❤️❤️@snoopdogg you are the real sexiest 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏,” a third person let him know.
As for Legend, he responded to being named Sexiest Man Alive on Tuesday, Nov. 12, by posting a split photo of his younger self next to Idris Elba, who was named Sexiest Man Alive last year.
“1995 John would be very perplexed to be following 2018 @IdrisElba as #SexiestManAlive,” wrote the EGOT winner. “Hell, 2019 John is about as equally perplexed but thank you @People for finding me sexy. I’ll take it.”
Elba weighed in on Legend now holding his former title, and he gave him a little advice.
“Just enjoy it. Try not to be sexy, just be you,” Elba told People. “One thing I learned very quickly: I don’t have to try to be sexy, I am sexy.”
“Doesn’t matter if I woke up in the morning and looked crazy, people would say, ‘Oh, the sexiest man.’ I told myself, ‘Yes, No matter what I do, I’ve been given the title, I’m feeling very good about myself,'” he added.
Snoop probably isn’t feeling all that bad either, considering his Sexiest Man Alive post has been liked over 400,000 times in just three days.
