Nene Leakes has once again come under fire for rocking one of her favorite items of clothing. As she prepared to jet off to an apparently revised girls’ trip with Tamar Braxton and Wendy Williams, the star shared a photo with fans just before she took off Saturday.
“Looks like it’s gone be a girls weekend after all @wendyshow @tamarbraxton #lifeofnene #labordayweekend2019 #whiteTwitaknot #getintoit,” she captioned the August 31 image.
Leakes’ flight to Miami to join Wiliams on her girls trip had been canceled a day prior, and after Braxton bailed, Williams told her fans the trio would link up in New York City instead. It’s not totally clear if that was where Leakes was about to fly to, however.
But fans were less interested in where she was going and more interested in what she was wearing.
In an apparent effort to get ahead of the inevitable criticism that pours out whenever Leakes wears the tee, a fan commented, “YES #whiteTwitaknot ‼️‼️‼️‼️ you better address the critics and keep wearing what you purchased with YOUR money.”
Then, Leakes didn’t hold back in her response.
“@ringleader___ Oh the critics need addressing? Well ok, i can’t wait to share with you, where you can purchase my new line of white T’s. Several styles will be available including a T with a knot, off the shoulders T, long cleavage, distressed T and so much MORE,” said the Swagg Boutique owner.
Following Leakes’ response, fans stuck up for the star.
“People are very obsessed with nene is actually pretty crazy how people’s mind works. They literally hate on anything she does. She can’t wear a white tee, she can’t wish her husband a happy birthday, she cant respond to a question someone asked her y’all actively want to not like her lol like relaxxxx.”

Leakes has been trashed for rocking the white tee in various ensembles over the past year. Back in October 2018, fans tore into the “RHOA” star for wearing her favorite top and pair of pants.
