Kandi Burruss says there’s not much hope for Nene Leakes to prepare her relationships with the ladies of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” even if she wanted to.
While spilling the tea on her “RHOA” co-stars during a visit with People TV’s “Reality Check” Wednesday, Burruss was tasked with saying something kind and something rather scandalous about each of her co-stars.
When it came to Leakes, Burruss began by keeping it kind.
“Nene is hilarious, y’all,” the singer states. “She’s a hard-working woman, and she’s a great businesswoman, and I love her go-getter attitude.”
But then, the star got candid about her co-star’s strained relationship with the cast.
“Not many people in the circle are on the same page as her, which is obvious,” Burruss begins. “And I don’t know if many of them are interested in fixing it.”
Leakes famously butted heads with nearly all of her co-stars — Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss, Eva Marcille, and Tanya Sam — during the season 11 reunion, which aired in April.
Taped in March, Leakes took to Instagram on her way home from filming, when she openly discussed her issues with her castmates.
“After 11 seasons I finally realize that these girls are my co-workers,” Leakes said on Instagram Live at the time. “They all were trying to secure the bag because half of them are boring so they had no other choice but to come for me — they tried to come [for me], how ’bout that. … These girls come on this show playing checkers. I’m already over here playing chess. It’s so ridiculous to me for them to [act] like, ‘Let’s all link up together and act like we’re nice’ and stuff when they really aren’t.”
Leakes especially took issue with Bailey, whom she accused of purposely not informing her that Kenya Moore was going to be at the model’s party.
“Cynthia’s done a lot of stuff, in my opinion, on the down-low [that] is very sneaky and underhanded. I’m just telling you the truth,” she said before adding, “I don’t have no hate in my heart for Cynthia. We are co-workers from this day forward. I don’t have any reason to not speak to her, I’m happy to speak to her. But anything else further than that, no.”
But while Leakes’ relationships with Bailey, Sam, Williams and Marcille continue to hang in the balance, she and Burruss may be on relatively decent terms.
Recently, the two wrapped filming a lunch scene at Co – Noodles / Sushi / Bar on July 10.
