‘Behold the Queen’: Ashanti Stirs Up the Internet With Sexy Blackout Guise

When it comes to style and grace, Ashanti apparently takes first place.

The R&B singer can almost do no wrong when it comes to her impeccable fashion sense and she manages to capture fans’ attention each time with her chic yet daring selections. She took to Instagram Monday evening and posted a photo of herself draped in all black attire apparently at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana, according to her geo-tag.

Ashanti rocked an Affair black lace minidress embellished with sequins and paired with matching thigh high boots. She topped off her overall look with a black Chanel bag and a pair of oversized $1,650 Anna-Karin Karlsson shades.

She also ditched her blond tresses for curly black hair and added a pop of color with her fuchsia lipstick. She captioned her post with a black heart and wrote in another, “NOLA 😜.”

Ashanti’s post accumulated over 30,000 likes from fans who marveled over her fierce look.

Lately, the “I Got It” singer has been making a stamp on the fashion world.

She recently collaborated with online fashion boutique PrettyLittleThing for a new swimwear collection guaranteed to heat up folks’ summer. Her line features several bold pieces and unique prints, including a vivacious neon-green swimsuit and a peacock print two-piece set.

“I feel like everyone deserves to look and feel amazing,” she told E News a day before the collection’s launch date on July 1. “I wanted pieces that would empower women.”

Within the last few months, Ashanti has visited Thailand and the Caribbean, which were perfect backdrops for the inspiration behind her swimwear collection.

“These all stand out because they’re so different and exotic and they come in a variety of cuts for each body,” she added. Her line includes one-pieces, cover-ups and even features plus-sizes.
