A new post that Cynthia Bailey made on Instagram has some fans rolling their collective eyes.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star posted a playful image to the photo- and video-sharing website Tuesday, May 7, and had what many took to be a telling caption accompanying it.
“never do the envy, jealousy & insecure stuff. be the hustler, well-wisher & the go-getter. #ookkurrrrrrttt,” Bailey wrote.
Many fans boosted Bailey for the look she served in the photo.
“Just beautiful GEESH! 😍”
“You look like you’re 20! Goals!”
“Your thriving and glowing! Looking better than ever! 💗”
But others paid more attention to what she wrote — and they weren’t the biggest fans of it. The group took the caption to be a diss toward Nene Leakes, whom Bailey had a falling out with during season 11 of “RHOA” when the model failed to inform Leakes that Kenya Moore would come to her Seagram’s Escapes party.
“You’ll getting tired with the shade now. Love you all but it’s turning people off.”
“Girl build a bridge and get over it 🙄”
“Move on already ..its old now.”
“Still throwing shade, live your best life that God has planned for you. Keep moving forward, without reflecting on the drama!”
Leakes has maintained Bailey, along with Kandi Burruss, were in cahoots to set her up by inviting Moore to the gathering. Meanwhile, Burruss and Bailey have said they did not conspire to set up Leakes, with Bailey saying she genuinely did not know Moore would arrive since Bravo filmed the bash for “RHOA,” which Moore exited after season 10.
Either way, it seems as if Leakes is not going to let go of her conviction that Bailey is “very sneaky and underhanded.” The O.G. housewife has since cut all ties with the majority of her co-stars — including Bailey and Burruss — as a result of the party and the events of the reunion.
But it seems Bailey is doing just fine without Leakes, whom she once referred to as a sister.
Speaking about their rift on “Strahan and Sara,” the “RHOA” star described her relationship with Leakes as poisonous.
“Sometimes friendships need a break,” Bailey said in April. “And I feel like looking back on everything and knowing the kind of person that I am and the friend that I’ve been to her, this friendship just isn’t healthy for me at this point.”
Adding further insult to injury, Bailey wrote on Instagram that same month that it’s “funny how the quality of your life improves dramatically when you surround yourself with good, intelligent, kindhearted, positive, and loving people that genuinely just want you to be happy.”
