Porsha Williams’ Fiancé Shares First Glimpse of Baby PJ After Finally Unveiling Her Name

At long last, Porsha Williams finally welcomed her first child with fiancé Dennis McKinley on Friday, March 22 and the entrepreneur shared the first glimpse of baby PJ with his Instagram followers over the weekend.

“God is great! I am thankful for a healthy baby. Thank you for all of your well wishes,” the new dad wrote on his Instagram story Saturday, March 23. The text was placed on top of a photo of McKinley gently holding his daughter’s foot moments after she was born.

After calling her PJ for months since Wiliams announced her pregnancy in September 2018, the parents confirmed to People magazine that they’ve worked the initials into a name: Pilar Jhena.

Pilar seems to have been chosen out of other names including Paige, Penelope and Pia, according to an assortment of cookies available for the betrothed couple’s guests who were awaiting PJ’s arrival. It seems the name Porsha Jr., which McKinley began calling the baby once they learned it was a girl, was axed as an option.

“One of the names that he has absolutely settled on — I’m not settled on it yet — is PJ. PJ stands for Porsha Jr. He wants to name our daughter Porsha Jr.” Williams said when she confirmed she was expecting. “I’m not really sure because I think she’s going to be mad, like, ‘Really, Mom?’ And then I’m going to have to try to explain it and he’s probably going to deny that it was all his idea.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star’s representatives told “People” Pilar was born at 1:36 p.m. and weighed in at 6 lbs., 15 oz. and measured 20 inches long.

“What a time to be alive! Porsha and I are so happy and blessed to announce the arrival of our daughter, Baby PJ,” the couple said in a joint statement to the celebrity news publication. “We couldn’t have imagined a more magical moment! Can’t thank everyone enough for joining us on this journey — it’s been a fantastic journey.”

Williams’ sister, Lauren, was one of the first to spill the beans that Pilar Jhena had made her way into the world. She excitedly captioned a group text thread of McKinley, “She’s here!!!!!!”
