Keyshia Cole Has Fans in stitches After She Admits to Singing the Wrong Lyrics

Four-time Grammy Award-nominated singer Keyshia Cole had fans in stitches after she admitted to singing the wrong lyrics to another artist’s song.

A fan hit Cole up on Twitter on Wednesday, Jan. 23, about one of his friends mistaking the lyrics to her 2007 hit single “Heaven Sent.”

The person said that his friend inserted “617” in Cole’s “Heaven Sent” chorus that reads, “Sent from heaven.”

“Yooo @KeyshiaCole you gotta see this,” the person retweeted.

“My nigga dead thought Keyshia Cole was saying “617” on that sent from heaven track,” the original tweet read.

Cole shrugged it off by hilariously saying that she too mistook the song lyrics to another singer’s song. She admitted to singing “rolling in the D” to Adele’s 2011 single “Rolling In the Deep.”

“It’s ok,” Cole retweeted with the fan. “I though Adel was saying “Rolling In the D” when she was really saying, ‘Rolling in the deep’🤷.”

Twitter users cracked up at Cole’s rib-tickling reaction to the fan’s “617” tweet.

“I remember you singing Rolling In The D,” said a person who claimed to be Cole’s friend. “… I said WHAT?! 😂😂  and you said ‘I thought she was from Detroit!’ Lmaoo.”

Another wrote, “Rolling on a D maybe….I like that better 🤣.”

A third fan chimed and tweeted the singer, “I swear I thought the same 😂.”

In August 2008 Cole’s single “Heaven Sent” peaked at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart. It remained No. 1 for four weeks, coming on the heels of her songs “I Remember,” which stayed No. 1 for 9 weeks, and her “Let It Go” single featuring Missy Elliot and Lil Kim that topped No. 1 in 2007.

Cole’s last album she put out was her “11: 11 Reset” record, which was released in October 2017. The star hasn’t put out any new music since, but she did tells fans in September she was working on her eighth album, writing, “STUDIO VIBEZ WITH @midsidesound #StudioVibez #ALBUM #8.”
