Tamar Braxton is laying down the gauntlet when it comes to how she chooses to wear her hair.
Fans have been at odds over whether or not they all enjoy her bald look.

But Braxton recently made it clear that it’s not changing any time soon.
“Some of y’all are like… OK. We need ya hair back. 🤦🏽♀️ Well, listen… I’m just not ready… I wish I could explain it… I’ve grown it back just to cut it back off🤷🏽♀️,” Braxton wrote on her Instagram Story Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Braxton first lopped off her tresses back in March. She uploaded a video of the experience on IG and set it to the tune of Bobby Brown’s 1988 hit “My Prerogative.”
“✂ finally free,” the caption read.
After much speculation, Braxton had to clarify the snip had nothing to do with her divorcing music executive Vince Herbert.
“Im over feeling captive to a wig, weave, people, people’s comments & opinions hell…even my OWN feelings! WE can choose to stop these things from having the power and victory over us!! And for me, that starts TODAY 🤸🏾♀️ #happysttamarsday🍀,” she wrote on her IG page.
However, she has not completely abandoned hair altogether. She’s donned wigs for performances and special appearances. Recently, she rocked one during her turn as an angel in Snoop Dogg’s play “Redemption of a Dogg.”
But now, being used to having no hair has apparently made sporting a wig for fun something Braxton isn’t too fond of.
