Days after fans praised and panned her makeup-free look, Porsha Williams made fun of herself using an old wives’ tale.
“They say baby girls steal your beauty😩😂,” “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, who is pregnant with her first child, a girl, with fiancé Dennis McKinley, said on Instagram Thursday, Nov. 8.

Fans found the expectant star’s humor hilarious and others schooled her on the myth.

Williams learned she would be expecting a girl during her gender reveal party last month where clouds of pink confetti confirmed the news. But she appeared noticeably upset upon seeing the reveal.
“When we popped it, I saw blue and I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s a boy,’” the RHOA peach holder explained of her reaction said on the Oct. 29 episode of “Dish Nation.” “And then I look in the crowd and pink is everywhere. So then I’m like, ‘Wait, now I’m pissed. Who handed me a blue popper?’ Then I was confused.
“Dennis had to be the most shocked,” she added of her fiancé putting his hands on his head in exasperation. “He is the one who swore up and down it was a boy because the umbilical cord on the sonogram was the penis.”
For his part, McKinley is not giving up on having a junior. He said on his Instagram that he’s “going right back in for the boy.”
