Nene Leakes just shared her first update on her husband Gregg Leakes in several weeks since he’s been home recovering from surgery. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star posted a new photo with her spouse leading to a clap back to a fan who scrutinized his look.
“Gregg says it’s been a long time y’all but heyyyyyy #lifeoftheleakes,” Nene captioned her Thursday, Oct. 25 photo.

Many fans shared their well-wishes for Gregg, who has been battling cancer for the last several months.

But one commenter chimed in with a less than kind — and out of touch — remark.
“He looks sick,” @_ladydoub said.
“@_ladydoub he is sick fool,” Nene responded.
Gregg’s cancer diagnosis first went public in June and since then, Nene has been sharing his journey to recovery.
He’s had two surgeries for his illness, the specifics of which have not been disclosed. After his most recent procedure in September, the road has not been easy for him or his wife.
“Everybody’s calling asking how he’s doing,” Nene shared on Instagram Live after her husband made it home. “He is OK. But he’s not, like, the best. Today is a hard day. He’s in a lot of pain … Not a lot I can do. It’s not a lot the nurses can do other than give the pain medicine and he’s just gotta get through it.”
Recently, she detailed how much cancer has changed her marriage.
“I’ve felt lost and alone not to mention the roller coaster of feelings my hubby Gregg has had,” she said on Instagram Sunday. “He’s definitely felt isolated from the rest of the world, mad, sad, depressed and left with asking why me!”
