“Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes is facing a lawsuit after a neighbor reportedly fell in front of her LA property.

According to TMZ, World renowned physician Dr. Kaou Chaou claimed he was jogging in front of Rhimes LA mansion when he tripped over an unlevelled crack in the sidewalk. His doctor reported that the fall caused a broken wrist and damaged cartilage. Apparently, the damage in his wrist resulted in a loss of range of movement in his wrist, arm, strength and stamina. Chaou added that the fall also affected his, “fine motor skills” and prevented him from working for a while.
The doctor is suing Rhimes because he feels as the homeowner she is responsible for fixing the sidewalk and cracks due to pipes, tree roots and bad repairs.
Chaou is also seeking a lawsuit against the city of LA. He is asking for an unspecified amount.
Rhimes has faced lawsuits in the past. Back in 2014, up and coming writer Debra Felman sued Rhimes for allegedly stealing her work. Felman claimed that Rhimes got a hold of her transcript for “The Red Tattoo” and used it for a failed series, “Off the Map.” The show was produced by Rhimes and her team from “Grey’s Anatomy.” When asked, an NBC rep said, “It is our policy not to comment on frivolous claims.”
