After Porsha Williams disclosed she’s off the market, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star’s appearance on “Love Connection” recently aired and viewers may have caught a glimpse of the star’s new mystery man.

On Tuesday, Williams hoped to find a serious relationship with host and RHOA executive producer Andy Cohen. She went on three dates over the course of a week with three different men and the results were both entertaining and promising.

William’s first two dates had their own set of issues. While the “Dish Nation” co-host enjoyed Obumneme’s “sexual chemistry” on the pier, described his date outfit as “immature.” Next, she dated Porter, with whom she decorated a cake that they named Uniquewa. While she enjoyed the creative outing, Williams didn’t like the fact that her date wouldn’t give her the code to his cell phone.

Then, the man she really hit it off with, Lewis, took her ax throwing. Williams admitted she wasn’t a fan of the date since there wasn’t much conversation happening. But when the duo took things to a lounge to chat, Wiliams enjoyed discovering what they had in common.

“Lewis has completely redeemed himself … We talked about my celebrity and he talked about just wanting to get to know me and I like that,” she said. “So I don’t know, I think I’m really starting to like this guy.”

And when it came time to unveil the guy she chose, it was Lewis who walked onto the stage.

After going on a second date in Atlanta, the couple went on to see each other for a few months but Williams said they wound up taking a break.

“So this love connection is one to keep an eye on,” Cohen said in a narration.

The episode airing comes after Williams revealed she had a new man but was tight-lipped on his identity.

“I really wanna be private with this one until I have to [share it],” she said. “I’m treading really lightly.”

Speculation initially assumed “Dish Nation” host Rickey Smiley was dating Williams, talk that wasn’t so far off considering the pair’s open affection for one another. But Smiley shut it down, saying in a statement, “Porsha and I have a great working relationship and we are friends. People would like to see us together but she has her thing going on and I have my thing going on.”

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
