It seems the warm and fuzzy feelings Tamar Braxton shared for her family at Disney World is out the window as the singer took to Instagram Friday to blast her sisters and mother for ditching dinner plans.
“I ain’t even tryna be petty but people be saying, ‘I’m comin’ over to eat,’ I make all this stuff — and mind you, I don’t eat none of this right now,” Braxton says in a June 15 clip featuring a feast ready for kin to dig into.
The mother of one prepared a big meal only for one sister, Toni Braxton, to show up. She explained further in the caption.
“I went to the grocery store PERSONALLY for all this 😤Nasty ass 15.99 a PACK Bison, (like its a synthetic ponytail 😰)bbq pot roast, mac and cheese, string beans, mash potatoes, Alfredo shrimp, my famous rice, grandma’s yams, AND peach cobbler… all for NO ONE to show up🤬 mind you I’ve been working ALL day too!! I was at the gym at 6:30 a.m., AND took Beans to see @theincredibles (which was REALLY good btw)….This is my LAST time doing all this and no one comes!! My STUPID ass falls for it EVERYTIME!! WTH is wrong with my DESPERATE ass!🤦🏽♀️!! Maaaaaannnnnn….This is why I don’t….. nevermind ☹️ it don’t matter…”
Braxton added that Toni stopping by to eat and take a plate home made it so that getting stood up “didn’t sting as much.”
None of the other sisters — Traci, Towanda, and Trina, or mom Evelyn — have responded to the “Tamar & Vince” star’s post, but fans have been offering encouragement.
“Tamar, whatever the reason is why they did not show up for some good ole southern cooking like my Grandma made. Keep a right mindset. You cooking a feast for family, friends or whoever don’t let it be the reason to stop making your famous meals, just make sure it is the last time that that one person never gets a second chance to make you feel DESPERATE. Now may I have your famous rice recipe please?”
“Next time, (if there is one) don’t cook ’til they show up… they wanna eat, let them wait or help you cook!”
“Freeze it and when they come again, warm it up, say nothing.☺ Except for Logan.”
