Tamera Mowry is getting candid about the hopes she had for her daughter’s appearance before she was born a year ago.
While many parents hope for a happy, healthy baby, Mowry also wanted Ariah to have something in common with her — her skin tone.
“I wanted Ariah to really look like me,” she says on “The Real” Monday, June 4. “Like, everything, everything. I think she has my skin color and my eye color.”
“You prayed for that! I remember! She was like, ‘Lord, let her be brown. Let her have black hair,'” co-host Adrienne Bailon interjected.
After the discussion turned to how much Ariah looks like her dad, Adam Housely, (Mowry said, “she has a big head. Adam has a big head. But I love Adam’s big head”), some accused the actress of dissing her daughter. They also slammed Mowry for marrying a white man but hoping for a brown-skinned child.
“I had to re-watch this 3 times…is Tamera brutally dissing her daughter! Wow! Wait until she’s old enough to see this!”
“They were really mean to the kid wtf.”
“Lmao @ Tamera praying her kid ends up brown-skinned, trust that’d be me if I had a baby with a white dude 🤷🏽♀️.”
“You wanted a mini you.. but had a baby with a white man. 🤔 #makeitmakesense.”
