A Connecticut high school was placed on lockdown Wednesday after police say a staffer threatened to go on a killing spree, promising to “execute every white man.”

Carl Lemon, 63, an in-school suspension coordinator at Harding High School, was charged with second-degree threat and breach of peace, according to the Connecticut Post. He was later released on $5,000 bond.

Police were dispatched to the school around noon after receiving reports of a threatening situation. School principal Dane Brown told authorities that Lemon made threatening remarks to a teacher.

According to police, Lemon reportedly told the man he hates white people and he couldn’t wait “for the [Black] Panthers to give the OK and a revolution begins because he’ll execute every white man he gets his hands on.”

Lemon also stomped on an American flag during class and told students, “This is what I think about it,” officials said. Afterwards, Brown said she found an anonymous letter in her mailbox voicing concern about Lemon’s behavior.

“Mr. Lemon talks about shooting whites a lot! He watches radical stuff during class,” the letter said. “I am scared he will do something … he is crazy.

The school was placed on lockdown as police took the ISS counselor into custody.

The Connecticut Post reported that Lemon has faced previous charges of harassment, disorderly conduct and creating a public disturbance. Those charges were ultimately dropped.
