Newsweek Tweets Out An Insensitive Picture Of Civil Rights Legend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: In remembrance of MLK Jr’s assassination, Newsweek sent out a tweet with the caption “Has anybody here seen my old friend Martin?” The tweet included a picture of Dr. King in his casket. Newsweek later deleted the tweet.
  2. Hoda Kotb Becomes The Permanent Co-Anchor Of The ‘Today’ Show: After the firing of Matt Lauer due to sexual allegations, many wondered who would fill his role on the morning show. An announcement was made that Kotb would be the permanent co-anchor of the morning segment of the ‘Today’ show.
  3. Steve Harvey Gets Backlash For ‘Three Little Black Dudes’ Joke: Harvey hosted Fox’s New Year’s Eve special and the comedian broke the internet with his outfit. However, three kids performed at the event and Harvey said, “Three little Black dudes singing the song better than all the White people I know!” Needless to say, Fox and their viewers were displeased and called him racist.
  4. Two More Men Were Arrested in The Beating Of Two Black Teens: Two teenage boys were severely beaten by a group white males at a Christmas Eve bonfire. A total of three men have now been arrested and charged with second-degree battery.
  5. Former Teacher Gets Busted For Racist Rant in Dollar Tree: Pamela Sharma was recorded on camera calling a Dollar Tree employee a ‘black slave’ and ‘black b**ch’. A shopper recorded the entire ordeal. Sharma denies being racist and says she’s too educated to be such.
  6. Joe Budden Confirms Revolt Deal: Budden confirmed at Diddy’s NYE party that he will be working alongside Mr. Combs for Revolt. He asked Budden, “I need to ask you a question, are you ready to get money with me?”
  7. Protest Boils Over In Iran: The protesters began with local rallies against Iran’s economic problems such as high inflation but have spread in both geography and scope. Sources say this is the biggest upstage since ‘Green Movement’.
