Omarosa Manigault told ABC’s 20/20 that her support for President-elect Donald Trump has ruined many of her relationships with her Black friends and associates.
Back in July, Omarosa was charged with increasing African-American support in her new role as Donald Trump’s Director of African-American Outreach at the Republican National Convention. Since then, her support has become more vigorous and many of her friends do not approve.
In a clip from the Nov. 11 broadcast, she revealed that her closest friends, including a bridesmaid, ostracized her. In some instances, she was called racial slurs and harassed with death threats.
“I was called every single racial slur in the book that you could direct towards an African-American by African-Americans,” Omarosa said. “I will never forget the people who turned their backs on me when all I was trying to do was help the Black community. It’s been so incredibly hard.”
