On Aug. 24, Atlanta, Georgia mega-church pastor Creflo Dollar released a statement addressing his alleged endorsement of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
WXIA-TV 11 Alive News reports that Dollar has not endorsed any presidential candidate. The pastor has no intention to endorse Hillary Clinton nor Trump, per his statement.
Allegedly, the pastor of World Changers Church International spoke highly of Trump.
He also claimed God told him to endorse the real estate tycoon.
“Trump is like John the Baptist, sent to prepare the world for the return of our Lord, Jesus Christ,” Dollar stated. “God came to me in a dream last night and said that Trump is his chosen candidate. God apologized for the mixed messages he was sending. I now know that Trump has been touched by the hand of God.”
However, the pastor stated that the endorsement and the original reports are false.
“Any reports stating that I have endorsed Donald Trump for President are false. I have not endorsed any candidate and do not plan to. This rumor originated on a satirical website and is 100% untrue.”
