  1. Jay Contreras says:

I read some where that Elaine Brown was an informant. It's obvious that a lot of the old cadre has been bought off..Bobby Rush comes to mind.

  2. You know what J.Edgar hoover thought was most dangerous about the black panther party?

"It was not the guns that were the greatest threat to the internal security of the United States of America; it was not the guns, it was the Free Children's Breakfast Program (created by black panthers) that was the greatest threat to the internal security of the United States of America."

  3. Jay Contreras says:

And hence why the US govt co-opted that BP program along with other community outreach programs. Funny since they have worked overtime trying to demonize their legacy but stole their ideas. But that seems to be their standard m.o. when dealing with black people period.

  4. Ama Nwaifejokwu says:

He was an unapologetically racist president.

  5. Ama Nwaifejokwu Hoover, the first director of the FBI, without a doubt set the white supremacist tone of that organization. I would say Hoover's FBI was just a continuation and an arm of white supremacy, still is.

  6. Ama Nwaifejokwu Hoover, the first director of the FBI, without a doubt set the white supremacist tone of that organization by infiltrating the black panther party and other black liberation organizations throughout our modern history. I would say Hoover's FBI was just a continuation and an arm of white supremacy, still is.

  7. A time when all people of colour, regardless of skin complexion, were NOT at war, but united.

  8. These are amazing and very necessary. Very few people are exposed to the inner workings and community building of the Panthers. All the media shows us are the images that reinforce the militant stereotypes. However, as a past Assistant Director or a photo gallery specializing in Civil Rights photography, I am outraged that there is no photo credits on these. At least some of them are the work of Stephen Shames. I don't understand how a publication can just use photographs without image credit. Wrong wrong and wrong (and a slap in the face to the photographers who documented this history).

  9. Marsha as it's been said a picture speaks a thousand words .The news agency that is reporting this is as bad as the owner of that said new station . And today's news outlet is just an extention of the owner believes Ruppert Murdock to name a few. Fox News is one of them.

  10. Johhen Allen says:

BEST PHOTOS ON THE NET. PERIOD.
