Angela Bassett Defies Time in Sexy, Classy Photo Spread in ‘The Violet Files’

Angela Bassett posed for Violet Grey’s online magazine, “The Violet Files” and the 55-year-old actress proved there is no age limit on being sexy.

The American Horror Story star’s jaw-dropping photo spread is stunning.

The black and white shoot was a great way to marry sex appeal and class in celebration of Bassett’s knack for fashion and style.

In the photos, Bassett is seen flaunting her famously toned figure in lingerie and statement jewelry.

Despite slipping into the incredibly sexy ensembles, the stars photos never seem inappropriate or overly sexualized in a way that takes away from the classic feel of the images.

“Alright Angela,” one comment read. “First, she looks great and secondly I love that she is showing that a woman can be grown, confident and sexy without letting it ‘all’ hang out. A concept missing today by so many.”

The Twitterverse also had a lot to say about the images.

“Cue a z-snap for Miss Angela,” one user tweeted, along with a link to the images online. “She looks amazing!”

Another user claimed that Bassett must have “found the fountain of youth and kept it all to herself” before sending out another tweet that praised her “sexy leg” photo.

To no surprise, Bassett credits her physique and ageless beauty to a healthy lifestyle – admitting that she often cuts out sugars, alcohol and bread before red carpet events.

While the public continues to rave about her physical beauty, Bassett said that she doesn’t see her physical attributes when she looks in the mirror.

Instead, she sees a “passionate woman who knows that she loves and has been blessed to be able to do it… and continue to do it.”

As for acting, she told the magazine that she studies her craft and encourages any other aspiring actresses to do the same.

“Actresses make it look easy because that’s the way it should look – effortless,” she said. “When a great actor does their job they’re leaving a piece of their soul in the room. It takes a little out of you, but that’s OK.”
