  2. Dam good video, black star you've out done yourself on this one.

  3. Chico Gknowz says:

    #CHIRAQ WILL GO FOR THEM #BARS OF .999 !!!

  4. Sundiata Keita says:

white people will come up with any reason in hell to deny giving black people anything. they deny our history and give it to the chinese or arabs, and they give everybody reparations except us.
i have a serious question. does anybody know why the white man hates us specifically so bad??

  5. that man was a real moron

  6. Brian Jordan says:

Abused YouDoes Anybody Know Why Black People Like To Talk About Racism As If All White People Follow The Beliefs Of Those Whom Advised

  7. It's refreshing to see conscious black women.

  8. Bob Marley said "who the cap fit let them wear it." People speak on what they live, their life experiences. I am not at liberty to tell you how to feel or what you experienced, neither can you tell us what we face daily. Racism is an institution, meaning it is so rooted one doesn't even know when they are acting in a racist manner or they do know and still do it. Let's try the education system, evreeryone is thought about Greece and Rome. The Greeks are the founders of Western civilization, democracy, Math, Astrology, science etc. For many years also Egypt was not in Africa. We are also thought that South American civilizations were savages and barbaric. All lies, the father of medicine isn't Greek as a matter of a fact the Greeks worshipped Imhotep. If you want to know why we speak on racism it is because it exist. Not even the truth the system wants to teach.

  9. Christian Counts says:

I can't even believe y'all made that the title of this clip she could not correct anything that was the saddest display I've ever seen..that's the problem you and tequila people have no idea what white supremacy is that's why you getting the ceiling debate and can't defend yourself or your position

  10. Marlena Nkene says:

Because we are genetically dominant, while they are recessive. It would work against their entire existence as white people to fully accept black people. They have much to lose and we would have everything to gain.

  11. Sundiata Keita says:

Marlena Nkene thank you for your response beautiful sista

  12. It's so amazing how these whites continue to try to find ways to deflect accountability about the atrocities they committed against African people. I bet if that English man was talking about not giving reparations for the descendants/victims of the European Jewish holocaust those surrounding whites would be in an uproar against him.

  13. Corey Toure says:

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad proved to us what he is long time ago but we as Black people were just too afraid of that truth so we just wrote him off.

  14. Sundiata Keita says:

Corey Toure do you have an answer to my question or do you just want to go around the internet telling peoples that theyre scared? if you have a specific answer, then say so. dont short stop me on information so you can make yourself feel holier than me.

  15. Amazing that all the comments were directed at the white people and what they do. But, no one noticed that the "Devil's Advocate" was black. Instead allowing the British man a chance to express his true feelings a "Sister" jumped right to his defense. This will always keep the truth from coming out. I agree that we should stop beating a dead horse… but allow the responsible parties to take responsibility for the injustice that has been placed upon people of color.

  16. Farntella Graham says:

this woman is a brainwashed idiot. she is a traitor and traitors are common among all peoples. she is in full support with white people. I can't believe they got this dark skinned woman to support the refusal to acknowledge white responsibility for destroying the world. the woman in traditional dress is the one I support. the title of this article is misleading.

  17. Farntella Graham says:

Marlena Nkene which is why we cannot breed with them. let natural selection run its course.

  18. Munir Meno says:

because you black people are suckers ….. no am kidding .. do u know why??
because our whole life there is nothing we give a shit about, but them

  19. Sundiata Keita says:

Munir Meno sigh. shutup nigga. blocked nigga

  20. Sundiata Keita says:

    its hella nice aint it.

  22. Danny Diesel says:

that was good, i don't think i like the lady that try to brush over the issue just because her and her sisters got educated and are doing well. There are exemptions to every principal or rule

  23. Victor P. Muhammad says:

    Marlena Nkene TEACH SISTER!!!!!

  24. Loyal Ann Royal-Riley says:

    @ Marlena Nkene
Spoken like a true educated Black woman. Look at all the sports and see who naturally dominate… Look at how UNDENIABLY talented Michael Jackson is… Why do you think "they" brainwashed him, get rid of his melanin? They can't stand to see rich, dark skin on a man of his magnitude. I keep remindng people Michael Jackson is a BLACK man. That's just the tip of the tip of the black "iceberg".

  25. Angela Slijngaard says:

I think Black Americans had/still have it much worse. I experience it everyday as a first generation American (parents are from the Caribbean). At least independent republics in the Caribbean don't have all the racial discrimination like American and the UK. Blacks catch hell but its much worse over here. The British are second in line, just look at that white dude on the show. Enough said.

  26. Prince Anthony Patrick Henry-Solin says:

It's not all white people that do this and stop generalizing! There "bad" white people and there are "bad" black people [email protected] nkene, your comment is really ignorant in every sense

  27. Sundiata Keita says:

Prince Anthony Patrick Henry-Solin aint nobody listening to europeans around this bitch. im about to bring your hat to you muthafuckas. blocked

  28. I've come to learn that descendants of slaves cannot discuss the impact of slavery and colonialism with the descendants of slave owners. Of course we'll always have the "exceptionalist" like the Devil's Advocate in the video but occasionally we'll find an enlightened friend like the Caucasian gentleman in the back that brought up the bogus debt Jamaica must pay for their freedom.

When we discuss a Reparations for Slavery people cringe because THEY KNOW the have personally profited from their slave master ancestor. Let's be honest…those families are still rich.

  29. Nikko Hill says:

"Racism is an institution, meaning it is so rooted one doesn't even know when they are acting in a racist manner." Oh thank you for that line. I argue this thought every day at work. Some of my co-workers do not think their comments or actions are racist because it is so deep rooted. Smh. I'm just being too sensitive.

  30. Gregory D Carroll says:

I believe it stems from G.W.F. Hegel's philosophies, initially, and his views spread like wildfires well into today's times among white people. You must understand that Hegel was a brilliant Christian philosopher in which the "privileged" few get to read, understand, and sometimes implement his writings.

  31. Les Young says:

Who Cares ? Love yourself and dont worry about them.

  32. Because hites and Arabs were the beneficiary of slavery and the slave trade. Why black people are the least property owners. Look at the large estate and see who own what, certinly not Afro Jamaicans.

  33. Les Young says:

@ Pamela Haddon that's just showing that we are evolving as a people. Your talking about people who started with no knowlegde of themselves and who had everything including there culture stolen from them.

  34. Les Young says:

@ Pamela Haddon that's just showing that we are evolving as a people. Your talking about people who started with no knowlegde of themselves and who had everything including there culture stolen from them.

  35. Shaunte Moore says:

I find it amazing how e have to continue to argue about our history, were everything is considered different in some instance feel made up, but what I don't understand is yes reparations would be hard, but why not an official apology if we were Holocaust survivors (which by the way we were ) we would get that apology, Its like making tragic events more important than others.

  36. As a result of slavery and the unfair administration of laws and depravation of civil rights especially in America and the discriminatory practices that prevailed for years after slavery great damage has been done to insure that over time only a few at a time in any given generation rise above the effects of it especially since the practice of discrimination and a unfair system of law fails to uphold true justice

  37. Rudolph Looney Jr says:

The " Devil's Advocate" illustrated her level of Stockholm Syndrome. She equates freedom with financial gain, not with equality. She is ONLY concerned with HER lot in life, not the overall reality of the effect of chattel slavery, colonialism, neo colonialism( which is still occurring today) and the legacy of indoctrinated self hate that creates many of the societal, economic and educational ills and challenges that are evidenced and faced in the present day.

  38. It is. She said she was going to play Devil's Advocate and be the mediator between the two, but she completely sided with the English man. Listen to her; "My father was a millionaire", "He worked hard". In other words your "black" problems don't concern me.

  39. Theodora Anagor So true.

  40. Angela Slijngaard I wasn't so much worried for the English dude than what the other black woman said. We all know how some white people think. It's some our own colored people that's giving us the bad shake.

  41. Yes, they are called billionaires.

  42. Jule Vortes says:

Loyal Ann Royal-Riley =/ Sports. Can we be naturally dominant in anything else but sports lol? Being good at basketball, shaking your ass on stage, or having good vocals doesn't push humanity forward. Science does.

  43. Maurice Zackery they were billionaires then (inflationary estimate).

  44. Ángelo Martínez true

  45. Winston Donald he represent the all Christian world that brought their faith to us and forced us into slavery too, learn more about people before making some statements. Let's stop being ignorant of our own history.

  46. Lillian Johnson says:

The woman with the horse hair pony-tail is totally jaded, wth is wrong with her, She needs to return to the stables of jacka$$e$ where she belongs.

  47. Farntella Graham says:

real cute, that "we were all slave" line

  48. Ny Is Fly says:

Prince Anthony Patrick Henry-Solin Hoe, shut up

  49. This is the situation, yes racism exist. It is a sensitive matter in which no one likes to actually deal with, the first step (could be in a certain order) is to dedicate (not educate) yourself/your life to really understanding what was done to you. The next step is to cultivate the mind and weed out the strongest most toughest weed (inferiority, self belittling, self hatred, … And so froth) from the minds of the victim (yes brain wash them), than implant them with the correct dedication, love, respect and information needed to rebuild them into who they are to be.
Next, use the same process with those who are not the victim accordingly. Because what people seem to not understand is that LIFE IS TOUGHT, not something that just happens.
As I always tell people a child is NOT born racist, I know, I was raised in the most racist place on earth ISRAEL. I was born a free man so it didn't bother me, and I was thought how to deal with it (it was funny, we were told to tell them "your mother/father are mine as well, we are brother and or sisters." Lol).
So stop being over sensitive and buckle down and literarily and actually CHANGE. It is not going to be an easy process for everyone, but a process in which everyone needs and should undertake.

    Thank you,

    Ben D.L.

  50. Ángelo Martínez I just read the real story behind 40 acres and a mule. Astounding. Just plain and simple my mind is blown.

  51. Maurice Zackery history is a motherfucker.

  52. Rudolph Looney Jr PERFECT answer!

  53. Lola Powell says:

There's always one contrary black person who doesn't understand the struggle of their own people. The woman who kept saying she didn't see the connection between slavery and now as it concerns the issues of black people sounded so ignorant for the educated person she tries to portray herself to be. I think she fails to realize that getting an education and making money doesn't necessarily make you "successful" especially when with all of that you still don't understand your own history or the consequences of a holocaust that lasted for over 200 years. In my opinion missing such fundamentals makes you quite unsuccessful actually.

  54. Lola Powell says:

Prince Anthony Patrick Henry-Solin Why don't you answer the question that was asked? You're so typical there's always one of you in the bunch. Black people have been so brainwashed to see to the comfort and reputation of white people over a long period of time that even now when blacks are trying to discuss an issue that affects us instead of focusing on that you'd much rather run to the rescue of people who don't even need rescuing. The truth is being told and people are just discussing why the situation was the way it was. No need to lose your mind, no one is saying all white people are terrible calm down sweets they'll still love you. Typical…Meanwhile jails and prisons are filled with our black brothers for crimes that white males don't even get a slap on the wrist for, have a seat. I work in Detention so I'm speaking from what I know to be true.

  55. Lola Powell says:

The horse isn't dead though he's very much alive and well check out the modern day slavery aka our "justice system"

  56. THE TITLE IS MISLEADING BCS THIS WOMAN HAS A NONCHALANT ATTITUDE TOWARDS THIS ISSUE, INSTEAD OF ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THERE ARE STILL SOCIO-ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF SLAVERY THAT CREATES BARRIERS UP TO THIS DAY…. Sure we can't knock on the doors of people's mansions but whole nations profited from slavery . The Jews didn't go and knock on the door of individual Germans, their Government paid the Reparation. In modern-times Reparation would have to take the form of Social & economic investments to reverse the lies of slavery. England and all the European countries got their Gold & precious stones & built their economies from slavery. Blacks are not looking for a hand-out. On the other hand, many European nations economies are going under so the BEST FORM OF REPARATION IS TO SEEK GOD'S JUSTICE. A DIVINE strategy will guarantee success. the top 5 people on Forbes list are people of African descent. Evidence that given the opportunity Blacks will rise to the top. The problem is most Blacks don't understand the power of unity & discussions of such sometimes involves hatred for Whites or a lack of loyalty /sensitivity to the plight of ALL Blacks. Blacks spend BILLIONS on HAIR AND CLOTHES. God is WAITING on us to come to HIM for the strategy.

  57. Marlena Nkene genetically dominant? …in genetics "dominant" does not mean better, and "recessive" doesn't mean bad.

  58. Farntella, the system of white supremacy always finds some (using some of the words of the late Khalid Mohammad about people like her) boot lickin', butt lickin', buck dancin' agent to carry the banner for the deflection of white accountability regarding our exploitation and marginalization.

  59. Stefan L Moton says:

I love her so well spoken and her accounts are correct

  60. Fred Ferraro says:

Maybe countries shouldn't get into debt if they don't want to pay it back, or not elect corrupt leaders who will incur massive debts.

Also a good portion of the slaves transported across the Atlantic were sold to Europeans by other Africans… so why shouldn't the people who actually sold to the Europeans be required to pay reparations.

IF you go back far enough there is always some group of people harmed by another. I think it is dangerous to start talking about reparations for things that were done before anyone living experienced. You should not be required to pay for the crimes of your father or grandfather or great- grandfather. It is not fair and it will never end if we go down that road. People need to stop thinking of themselves as victims and using the my grandfather was a slave argument to explain why they are poor or in jail instead of taking responsibility for their own actions.

I would just like to point out as well that many of the comments from the people of African descent people posting in the comments are racially offensive to people of European descent. For some reason it seems that black people think it is perfectly ok to lump all white people into a group, referring to them only by their race but take extreme offense if the same thing is done to them. No one should be grouping or judging anyone based on their ethnicity at all but you need to at least practice what you preach. I mean, there is someone else on here calling black people genetically dominant, and while it is true the genes responsible for darker skin color tend to be the dominant gene, it is a misunderstanding to call one race genetically dominant over another as it implies superiority and no person is superior to another because of their race.

Finally linking black slavery reparations to victims of NAZI Germany is not right because their are people alive who suffered at the hands of the NAZI party, there is no one alive in the Western World who can say that they themselves were an actual African Slave. A nation of people paying would be paid by taxing the population and in effect everyone would be paying a little bit to a group of people who suffered no personal harm only hypothetical possible harm because of their ancestry. There are many people descended from African slaves who have become successful in their lives, what have they done differently and why haven't more people done the same, I think is the real question. Perhaps it has something to do with a victim mentality, feeling like society owes you something so you don't try and better yourself, I don't know, I am not a sociologist. I do know however, that forcing people to pay for the crimes of their ancestors is not right.

  61. Ky McMillion says:

We are hated because we carry on the bloodlines of the Most High's chosen people… The prophets in the old testament said this is the fate our ancestors earned for us by turning away from the ways of the Creator.

  62. Wendell Otis Ward says:

I found this to be an awesome Conversation

  63. José Justino Bronze says:

I don't understand the title. I saw a video with a black woman denying, talking like white folks like "get over it". I dont know about what y'all saw.

  64. Elmer Doug Ellis says:

The sister was correct to expose the white man's "falsification " of the history of slavery !

  65. Hasanda Stevens says:

Slavery and plantations still exist. They are simply now known as convicted felons and for profit prisons. O.O

  66. Lola Powell says:

Aubrey A Smith She didn't say dominant meant better she was simply stating that we have the genetic power to eradicate white people and they know it. It's not saying we're "better" she's just pointing out a scientific fact….

  67. Sundiata Keita says:

Jule Vortes <— yall black people see these mexicans. theyre considered white on the census bureau so they need to act racist to be considered white socially. i got a video on my page about it. JaccTrippa on youtube.
    oh yea. blocked

  68. Maurice Gatdula says:

You could tell that educated lady is brainwashed by that fake ass ponytail she's wearing. Sister you ain't fooling no one.

  69. Josephine Photoshop J Provençal says:

You talk about running up debt and paying it back. If you knew true history you will know Africa was the richest place on earth, laden with gold, diamonds, oil ect….It was raped of that and so where the people raped and en slaved. So any help outs later down the road shouldn't be classed as "help" you just gave us back what was owed.
Black people are victims in many ways…Slavery to mind conditioning, to in Justice in today's world.
Are you seriously telling me had it been your grand parents who had been slaves it wouldn't hurt to think of what they went through? It wouldn't change your out look on that race that did this to your family?
Families where up rooted, separated, sold and sold again, beaten, raped, humiliated publicly, hung, starved….i could go on. You say no one alive today was in slavery but the effects of what went on still haunt many of the older generations today…my granddad for instance.
Then think about lose of identity, not knowing your true family name, or exactly where you come from…or knowing your fair skinned because of atrocities such as rape of the black women leading to child birth. This was a very common thing then.
Choice taken away, faith taken away, basic human rights taken away.
Why are black people among the poorest?
When slavery was supposedly done with there was still segregation, low paying jobs, good schools didn't allow blacks, or black schools didn't have the same funding so access to books and other essentials were not available. Thus leading to generations of black people being denied education, or situations from slavery leaving many with no choice but to work and feed their family and or couldn't afford education.
As we know cycles like these are hard to break and even harder as white society although not blatant STILL have prejudices against black people and other races of colour,
You say why don't we try to be like the rich black people……If white society would stop with the subliminal mental slavery…and show black people good black roll models like white people have all day long on tv…..if the stereotypes would be dropped and if white people stopped playing the "it was my great grad daddys fault" card and try to understand the mental damage all of this has caused then maybe just maybe black people and other races of colour would have a shot ….a real shot at life, and not just chasing dreams that some white man told them to dream.

  70. I think you probably understand that they don't respect us as much as other groups to give us such an apology – they'd only give us that apology if it was economically necessary (like when Britain gave back ALL of Hong Kong when it could have still owned half of it, they saw the long game was not to p*ss off the increasingly-economically-important Chinese!!!). In reality, they're [currently] not concerned about the 'power' of peoples of Black-African decent.

  71. Kelly Bishop says:

I finally got it:) The bible states “It’s easier for a camel go through an eye of a needle than a rich man to enter into heaven.” The “Devil’s Advocate” is the reason. Other cultures boast of not leaving one behind. The black “Devil’s Advocate” forsakes the suffering and history of his ancestors and people to side with monetary success even though they have no power behind it.

  72. Burke Candy says:

i agree with you sink or swim let us return we will survive

  73. Sean O'mara says:

Marlena Nkene Racist twat, every race has been enslaved EVERY single one, I am of Irish descent, Irish people have suffered terrible slavery, the difference is, every other race has stopped using it as an excuse for failing at life in general and milking it for sympathy and a tool for manipulation, everyone other race has built a bridge and got the fuck over it, where as black people haven't,

  74. Sean O'mara says:

Loyal Ann Royal-Riley Black people are the most racist people. How many black people alive today can honestly say they have been a slave? none. you all need to shut the fuck up and stop using something that happened hundreds of years ago as an exuse for being losers!

  75. Great great great??…Slavery just ended in the USA in the 1960's….I'm the First Legally free Generation in my family..

  76. Lola Powell says:

Sean O'mara If you want to have a valid argument, which you don't then you need to understand the facts. Black people's enslavement stands alone historically speaking as the most brutal that has ever occurred in the history of the WORLD for several reasons when you compare our slavery to the enslavement of others and dare I tell you that the modern day captivity of black people is still rampant. Allow me to list…
1.Only blacks were stripped of the title of being a human being.
    2. We were not allowed to be educated.
    3. We were raped and murdered off of a whim.
4.Our enslavement went on for more than 200 years.
    5. We were forcibly taken from our land.
    6. We were castrated, sterilized
    7. We were criminalized by the law and media (newspapers then and now modern media)
    8. We were medically/ scientifically experimented on without anesthesia for the advancement of gynecology because we were not considered human we didn't feel pain. (read about it)
    9. During slavery sex farms were kept where blacks were prostituted out to whites, not to mention the particularly perverted clientele who were rich white men could get their kiddy fix by purchasing little black boys for sex (read a book).
    10. Families were sold apart from each other.
    11. Pregnant black women would be lynched and have their baby sliced right out of their stomachs as they hung from a tree.
    12. We were not allowed to congregate.
    13. We were not allowed to communicate with each other in native tongue, language stripped!
    14. Lynchings and live burnings were seen as a form of entertainment for whites who made post card photos and mailed them to distant relatives as a form of celebration.
    15. After the murder of a black person whites often kept souvenirs such as a toe, finger, or teeth. They would either display it as a piece of decor, wear it for luck, and some would eat parts of Negro people who had been killed believing it would be beneficial to their health!
    — Now we have modern day captivity (I work for the department of detention btw). Thousands of black people are locked up daily and given jail and prison time for the same crimes that whites don't even receive a slap on the wrist for, yet we are statistically no more likely to be criminals than anyone else. We simply face harsher punishments and penalties than anyone else. There is a lack of equal treatment by our so called "justice system". I could go further, but as you may wish to remain ignorant because we're "losers" right. I digress. I will not "get over it"

  81. Sean O'mara says:

Lola Powell Yes but did any of this actually happen to YOU personally? NO. Terrible things have happened to people of all races and creeds throughout history, I just don't understand why you seem to think that you are entitled to some kind of compensation and an easy ride for something that never even happened to you personally, and no white person alive today is is responsible. You need to get the fuck out of here, get a grip and perhaps find a hobby LOL bye!

  82. Sean O'mara says:

Sundiata Keita Fuck off and stop trying to gain pity for something that didn't even happen to you you fucktard. Don't you ever get bored of whining about injustice that happened hundreds of years before any of us were even born? stop clutching at lame old excuses for being a massive failiure and just fuck off.

  83. Lola Powell says:

Sean O'mara You're so juvenile. You've regressed to cursing which shows your level of intelligence. If something has happened to my ancestors then it affects me greatly and that makes it personal. A nature neuroscience study has also shown that memories can pass through generations, which should give you a hint on how slavery still affect people today. (read about it) instead of educating yourself you'd rather curse people out because you can't defend your wrong, so you compensate with vile language instead of valid points. I feel sorry for you dear. Grow up.

fuck off and stop feeling sorry for yourself, I had to work my tits off to get to University and black people get in with shit grades just because of their skin colour, offered jobs more easily to be in compliance with diversity monitoring, yes, it really is such a dreadful shame for you, FUCK OFF!

  86. No, none of the speakers were idiots. The cretins are perhaps some of the respondents who are vilifying one black woman for wearing a business suit and those who are directing racist comments toward whites. Others characterize the “we have to move on” statement as some type of act of treason. People who have a different opinion than your own and practice self reliance are not traitors, agents of the enemy or brainwashed peons.

  87. Amaretto Snuggle-Puss says:

Just like Original Sin, the fault is passed over to the new generation. What black people are asking is for a well-deserved apology, not some feelings of regret.
An apology is an regretful acknowledgement of past offense while a regret is a FEELING of disappointment of what had happened. These two are distinctively not the same.

  89. As a person who has received some education I completely agree with what you are saying. Various articles, from peer-reviewed journals have highlighted the difference in criminal justice towards white and black people. The number of convicted black men is much higher, so is the death penalty. Anyone who says slavery does not have an impact in todays society in America and other countries as well, is simply not well informed.

  95. The fact that the caption reads African woman as oppossed to recognizing these women of UK nation is exactly the point of education about the impact of slavery and segregation in the western world.

  96. All wrong. Ive said this a millions times. There is a brain washing that makes people believe that its about black and white it never was!! there were 3 types of people in slavery the RICH slave owners the poor whites that where the labor working class that only lived a slightly better life the the last group the slaves. most white people today do not come from the affluent social class during slavery. Most of the rich white families come from the last 100 years of economic growth and majority of the white population came from the working class. there was never hatred from slave owners you where property slaves =crops tending=$$$$. the working class whites hated slaves as a result of the stress from their own poverty. ITS NOT BLACK AND WHITE ITS GREEN! Today 99% of the population are still slaves white black red yellow all to the people that have the green. Notice none of the families that actually benefited from slavery were in attendance. We keep trying to make ALL white people pay for something that has been happening for thousands of years. The people with money will always push this race issue its a distraction. While you bicker over this im just going to go over here and sacrifice all of you for my own gain. guess who made money off of this show airing??? not the black woman not the white guy chatting…The test of life is to realize that we all connected as one and to recognize that despite all the evidence that tells you other wise…. that is the truth. someone else wouldn't be able to get rich from war and enslavement for cheap labor if we knew that truth. The purpose of life is to die as happy as you were born. we let them take our happiness and keep it from us for generations. Todays black youth are angry as hell and they dont even know why. it used to be that only crazy well off white kids killed their parents. stop telling kids that we were given the short end of the stick because of slavery. Yes it happened and its something we should honor our ancestors for enduing but if you keep telling yourself that you are at a disadvantage then you always will be. after slavery black people owned land there were some that had servants. black youths wanted an education and to make better for themselves. Dave chapelle did a skit where blacks did get reparations… what exactly do you think we would do with it…. When i look at black society today i dont believe that there is a disadvantage because we are from slaves i think its more like we forgot that we use to be slaves and now we have an opportunity to take back that wealth we made in america. there is so much to say on the topic but i would rather focus on being productive than something that i cant change

  97. Greg Benoit says:

One acts like 500yrs of slavery and systematic oppression gets wiped away at the snap of a finger. To act like the past doest affect this present time and future times is idiotic. The educational system, legal system and every other system that was created and still stands today was put in place to cater to one group of people; those who were in charge!! Have anyone of those systems changed ( I'm not talking about new legislatives rules in and old flawed system either) NO!!! Question, Who owned most of the establishment 200 yrs ago?…… couldn't be african american because we weren't "allowed" to. Who own most of the establishments today? Here is a hint, it hasn't changed!!! And to act as though that doesn't matter is beyond ignorant, it is flat out STUPID.
And this uncle TOM women that speaks is so brain washed it's not even funny. She act as though because she is an anomaly that it is so easily done. But they love people like her. No other race more than african american have internal issues of self hate and it's sick.

"they taught us how to be slave, but they didn't untrain us"

  98. Carri Jordan says:

FEAR. YOU fear anything that is more powerful than you. Why do they put king kong in chains..why did they put the Indians on reservations, killed millions and sent their Indian girls to boarding to make then of a white mindset…THEY FEAR THE BLACK MAN BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT WE KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST…WHAT THEY ARE DOING NOW. Anytime we have endured what we have and still endure their hatred, injustices, etc. and haven't wiped them all off the face of the earth….I WOULD BE FEARFUL TOO.

  99. Sean o Mara,if you feel that way don't come on the show. Change the channel, you don't have to watch. You racist prick, you're just like your ancestors, rape, murder and genocide. So you fuck off, you cave dwelling robot, colonial gene in your DNA, ass. Fuck you and own up to your past.

  100. I am offended that this English man would bring up the point that there were 3000 black slave owners at the time of the Civil War. If he looked a little deeper, most black slave owners weren't owners in the same sense white people were. Most were owners of their families trying to keep what little stability they had.

  101. Greg Sayybruh Taylor says:

some people just wont get it.. if my great great great grand parents were in slavery and I should let it go.. then why do the enslavers decedents get to benefit from it.. I can go on and on and on.. that's why decedents of Africans need to have a revolution and create its own etc..

  102. Generalizing and stereotyping ALL white people in that very blanketed statement right off the bat is EXTREMELY ignorant in itself.

  103. Farntella Graham Sorry, but YOU don't get to decide WHO breeds with who on a personal note.

  104. Ron Casseus says:

she got a point, before money ,an apology would be very good!

  105. The 'profit prisons system' you are referring to is a DO IT YOURSELF institution, IOW, you ALWAYS have a choice. You can choose to go to jail or you can choose not to.

  106. Great conversation. The wonderfully intelligent woman at 2:30 made perfect sense when she gave a superbly accurate meaning to the phrase "rise up". She never denied that the past does not impact us today, she simply iterated that the FUTURE is far more important because THAT is all of what we can control, starting with the present.

  107. No one's keeping you but my question is this: WHO owes? And who PAYS? I happen to love this country, which is VERY beautifully diverse and mixed BTW.

  108. Live YR says:

Sundiata Keita yes it is! that other woman had me cursing at the screen! lol

  109. Live YR says:

For real! that woman made me vex when she tried to dismiss the connection. How can she look at, for example, generations of substandard education within many black communities and not see some type of connection? Not to mention the lack of teaching of TRUE black history in European & American curriculum. To me it's like saying ''black people are naturally less intelligent as a race''. Things like that irritate me like hell.

  110. You're entire argument here has been undermined by the sheer amount of logical fallacies you are using in your argument. Not to mention that 3 times when somebody offered an opinion or a point that didn't align with your own views you ignored them by saying:

    "sigh. shutup nigga. blocked nigga"
"aint nobody listening to europeans around this bitch. im about to bring your hat to you muthafuckas. blocked"
    "oh yea. blocked"

I will ignore the use of vulgar, inappropriate and misspelled language such as "nigga", "bitch" and "muthafuckas" since I'm sure that you are capable spelling correctly and not making use of expletives. However, these quotes from you show that you are succumbing to the argumentative fallacy of 'cherry picking'.

You are also subject to the fallacy of "ad hominem" when you say:

"stupid bitch, you irish used to be considered white niggers in this country"

By calling this person a stupid bitch, you are immediately attacking the arguer rather than the argument which has no relevance nor purpose to the issue being discussed. On top of this, the statement used presupposes that being a "nigger" is a bad thing. I'm sure you can understand why this would undermine your argumentative position.

Though there are many more issues with this discussion, I will give you a final example of how you make use of a "loaded question fallacy" in your opening statement.

"does anybody know why the white man hates us specifically so bad??"

This not only a "sweeping generalisation" of "the white man" claiming that all white men hate (I assume you mean black people from the use of the word "us" though feel free to correct me if I am wrong). The question here is loaded because it presupposes that the "white man" hates people of African descent is a given fact. It also supposes that only white males are responsible for hating only black people.Since you ask "why the white man hates" rather than "does the white man hate" loads the question since by replying without challenging this assumption means that they have accepted the presumption that 'all white men hate black people'.

These together make your argument intrinsically invalid.

  111. Any of the fallacies can be looked up on Wikipedia or other websites for their definitions in case you wish to question whether I have used them correctly or not. I also want to make the point that the argument I have made here is not intended to support one side or another, merely point out how you can better your arguments by using logic rather than, in my opinion, misguided emotion.

If you believe my response to be biased or to be laced with other argumentative fallacies, then feel free to point them out and I will try to clarify and remove any ambiguity.

  112. Live YR says:

I believe the U-N-I-verse will eventually balance things out. How & when? I don't know…but it will eventually. No type of white so-called supremacy can stop that.

  113. Live YR I'm actively doing something every day, my friends can say the same. Apathy is the worst sin of them all.

  114. Also the British sided with the confederates during the US Civil War. So they were two faced about abolition.

  117. Jonathan James Bresnihan says:

Farntella Graham You don't know a THING about me, that's number one; second of all, the only thing I see malicious, unsurprisingly, are a slew of more run down and mundane excuses. Quit while you're behind and tell another story.

  118. Farntella Graham says:

    Jonathan James Bresnihan malicious intent

  119. Woow great conversation great show! American shows have lost this kind of show we got Steve Harvey show and Katie, no more Oprah, Donahue, etc. And so cool and refreshing to see and hear intelligent conscious black women speak excluding the interventionist lady. I want to marry the girl in the glasses. The lady in with African dress is sooo intelligent and confident she should write a book. White men need a scape goat a group to point to for all the wrongs in the world that they caused and do evil while everyone is watching black men to do evil. I believe Africans where formed and place on this Earth by GOD and as time went on GOD's spirit and his original designs for man slowly withdrew and the white man was formed because they are the last to be formed of the human species. Because they are the last human group to be formed, they have less GOD in them, and are more a creation of the devil. They have GOD in them, but not as much as Africans, that is why we have rythem and they don't when the hold world runs on rythem.

  120. Because whites are the youngest human species they are the most immature. How mature is it to hate someone because their most recent ancestors lived near or on the equator and not by the polar caps, where it was less suitable for life because of its extreme cold. We are all brainwashed by the English we speak their language which means we think like they do, they control all natural resources which is why you see blacks, Hispanics , Asians kiss their ass and hate on African people. We are all doomed because of white men, with global warming, rapid gun usage in the U.S. fatty food causing all kinds of health problems, cars that go over 100 miles which are used as weapons, and nuclear weapons. Thanks white man you the dumbest human being every the REAL Monkey!

  121. Live YR I couldn't agree with you more. I feel you.

  122. This is and has always been a tough topic to tackle. They all had valid points. You know why? Because they are all different people, from different places, of different cultures with different beliefs and religions possibly. Im usually an optimistic but it would take the near extinction of the human race for us to come together. Our differences have gotten us into wars, the slave trades and many disputes. Its all about differences. Wether that be mentally, physically or spiritually. We all cant be the same, but one day, there will be a catastrophe thats pulls us all together. Out of chaos we will become one race and reparations and the slave trade will be minuscule in comparison to what lies ahead. I've seen first hand what differences do to people on a grand scale and a small scale, just with my 25 yrs of life, but i hope one day we stop this and notice that we are all grateful to even be here on this "organism" we call earth. Thats just my perspective on this situation. Yes it happened and yes black people dont know their whole TRUE history, but the day we stop this back and forth will be the day when we are truly free. No on this earth is truly free, regardless of how much you own or have. No one. Lets live for one another and by one another. Im just sad i wont be alive to see that day smh

  123. Chris Jenks says:

I am completely against slavery obviously, it is disgusting. But there were many black slaves who were granted freedom and then went on to own slaves themselves. There were many black tribes whose primary source of income was selling slaves. It isn't as simple as black and white.

  124. There is always one from the"Skinner Box", the house "person" to speak up and defend the horror that happened to a continent and its people. The brain washed/programmed enslaved come to defend the en-slaver. A whole continent, Africa, was robbed and impacted dramatically and traumatically; its people destroyed forever. The enslaved was robbed of its riches, they enjoyed before the en-slavers (Europeans/Caucasians) came along. Their money which left their hands, and doomed them to a life of poverty and degradation, enriched the now rich nations of the en-slavers. Because the guilty en-slavers hands are still in the cookie jar, robbing the African Continent, the subjugation and degradation of its people has not ended to this day. The en-slavers only changed tactics, to cunningly continue to enrich themselves with stolen money and stolen lives, these 400 years. But, i beg my friendly en-slavers to study carefully the Bible, whose identity of its people was also stolen along with their riches. Upon careful study you will find that the money the en-slavers and their children stole, and are still stilling from the African Continent, which include the nation of the people in the Bible…you will certainly return, as the Bible says you will cast your (stolen) money in the streets to us, as we exodus your presence. And i do believe that day is not far away.

  125. Bro. Sundiata…its more about still robbing the Motherland, our riches. If they change their tactics with us, they have to let go of our riches they still control, have possession of on the entire African Continent.

  126. Zane Spelman says:

Don't bring gossip and false rumour of a story book into this.

  127. Great discussion. Misleading headline meant to exite anger rather than thought.

  128. Karl Makinda says:

Sadly, there are thousands of people like that chatty, little Black woman around. Some of the worst fools around are those who claim to be educated.. Furthermore, many of the people claiming to be knowledgeable are not well-versed enough to tackle the subject of slavery and reparations.

  129. Gyasi Sutton says:

You left a couple of things things that can strongly add to the impact to the entire argument, Like how the slaves of that time were bred like animals ,some men where forced even if they didn't want to, to get the biggest and strongest slave possible, and yet still meek, and about the prostitution, there was a majority of masters who did it behind closed doors and yet would proclaim to be disgusted by anyone sleeping with "animals"(and that's the nice term). Lastly and most important in my eyes and as a direct result of whats going on with the black in black crime today is the separation of house slaves and field slaves, it created a society where it was betray or be betrayed, competing for comfort or life itself by ushering in harm to the (competing)individual by a direct result of person's actions or by withholding help or protecting. It's that "them or me" mentality.

  130. Gyasi Sutton says:

You know I will always be proud to be an American but this country's very foundation is Land from Native Americans and blood and sweat from African Slaves and to be fair I'll even include the indenture servants who was forced into longer terms because their "sponsor" needed more free labor to live comfortably. I have never read Sun Tzu's Art of War but I imagine somewhere in there is a chapter of "How to acquire land from another population" "Come into with your hand outstretched in friendship with the other hand hidden on the hilt of a Knife (disease, money and addictive things), and even as you take the land still it is better to have them believe your are still helping them." Or how about the Art of Slavery? "Do not let them bring any of their former lives with them for their sole responsibility is serve your wishes and desires. Forgo Education so they need to depend on you, punish swiftly yet publicly and brutally as to instill fear and quash any thoughts of disobedience, dispel religion and language, find the best qualities and combine through breeding, forbid the weak and inept, the best slaves will be the pending generations as the slave that is born into slavery is the perfect slave. And when the last generation who had a memory of their past history dies, then history is rewritten and you have the perfect free labor slave.
It took our ancestors a long time to climb out of that pit that was dug for us, and even though more of us have opportunities than ever before, we are not "there" yet.

  131. Gyasi Sutton They also forced slave men to sleep with their mothers. That's where the term "motherfucker" comes from.

  132. Gyasi Sutton says:

Cazie Perry Jr. You know sometimes Ignorance is bliss, I had no idea. Another punch in the gut. Wow

  133. @ Farntella I can believe that woman can be so brainwashed…it pays well for some.. To paraphrase : Very difficult to convince someone who holds a certain opinion to change that opinion if that would impact their bottom line. 🙂

  134. right on Victor right on

  135. Transgenerational trauma is a trauma that was transferred from the first generation of survivors that have experienced (or witnessed) it directly in the past to the second and further generations of offspring of the survivors via complex post-traumatic stress disorder mechanisms.

  136. Gyasi Sutton Oh I agree completely and I'm aware lol I would ended up typing a novel and as you can see per his response to what I stated he isn't interested in being educated so I stopped typing realizing I was merely casting pearls to swine. You are exactly correct though I agree 100% those are some additional strong impactors 🙂 thankx I also forgot to mention the separation of our familial in relationships in reference to how when some of us achieve a certain level of success due to the adverse affects of slavery we only feel accomplished when we have a white woman or white man at our side and look down on coupling with our own people in a very harsh and negative light. I've seen it time and time again. It's sad. The impact of slavery has reached endless bounds. Smh.

  137. Thanks for this. Whites just don't want to admit their wrong doing and how much it STILL impacts so many. The guilty rarely admit their guilt.

  138. Noah Cryns says:

(On this post string ) The only person I see who is actually "thinking" and not "reacting" to information is: Alysha Melody Wright

  139. Maurice Zackery unbelievable! I could not take her reasoning…..she is classic traitor…classic…."my father….5 daughters…." smh

  140. nooooo he is a bonafide racist in all their glory! wow! I have never heard an explanation of slavery like that ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  141. Danny Diesel the fact is that there are many black people who are educated and rich and do not agree with her…..she is soooooooooooooooooo selfish, ignorant, and full lies and deception that she looks stupid!

  142. u r angry because u know u r wrong….but u need to accept white mans part in slavery….and stop all that cursing!

  143. This is a great thread. Right On, Ángelo Martínez!

Marcus Garvey was one of the greatest examples of leadership that Black in America's have to model our communities after. He believed in building our communities by creating a strong economic environment for Blacks so that the Black family unit would be in tack. Those who influence our current economic schemes here in America profit heavily from schemes operating the way they do now. So I do not think that the U-N-I-verse will eventually balance itself, because it's out of balance from the efforts of the ones who WORK INIQUITY which cases INEQUITY; those who set our economy out of balance. As long as there is greed and hate there will always be a great imbalance in the world. The fight to good has to be greater than the fight for evil. Only, the fight isn't a tangible fight, but one of spirit and nature: greed vs. generosity, hate vs. love, war vs. peace…. all of which are born from the heart (core of one's consciousness) of man.

  144. Kevin Hamilton you've said it.

  145. Live YR says:

Kevin Hamilton Nothing lasts forever my friend…not even injustice

  146. Nicki Thompson Very well said. That was more or less what i was trying to get across.

  147. Life has a way of riding itself of damages done to it by evil persons and it will be sooner than later when they who have no scar and feel no pain will reap what they have sown. The genealogical implications of slavery and colonial supremacy will bear its fruits no matter how long it takes.

We need no payment for the cruelty done to us we need justice and sooner than latter the universe will grant us as black people the same.

  148. The first comment in the video pissed me off. Even if it were true that we've all been throug slavery, our country is the ONLY one to base slavery strictly off of race an skin color. Elsewhere, it's about being POWs, being indebted to someone, or being born into it.

  149. I marched for reparations in the Summer of 2003 I believe is the correct year in DC. Before I went down to march I was presenting this issue to my fellow African Americans and the response the that I got most of the time was "Black are not going to do anything constructive with the money so why give it to them". My people we have to believe that we deserve it before others will and I don't give a damn if you take it and throw it in the river. Our lives are just as valuable as any other race!!!!

  150. I am caribbean and everything stated is true due to the way my ancestors were treated and all of the islands being colonized and our wealth going to the bigger countries when we gained independence we had to start from the bottom and build…. We didn't get help and due to this factor generations after me will be paying debt all in the name or greed and power..not blaming any country for what happened in the past but if something could be done to help correct your mistake y not? Not saying pay everyone but give the countries something to help build them

  151. Oh and Fred Ferraro one more thing I forgot to address, you, like many White people like to use the old: "Well Africans sold their own people into slavery" I am going to include a link to an article that answers that directly and says exactly why it falls short as logic to explain why White Europeans AND Americans (although the article only references Americans, but it fits for Europeans since they also had slaves) should not be held accountable for the damage caused by slavery.

If you don't read it then Im just going to summarise, that AFRICA IS NOT A COUNTRY, did anyone every say Europeans killed their own people during the Holocaust? No! It was Germany doing it to other White Jews a people they viewed as "other" or as enemy. And not all Germans felt that way but were forced into it because there was violent power in control. SAME THING, Africa is made up of many countries, so some countries sold who they viewed as "their enemies" of other countries or tribes into slavery, not to mention even if they didn't want to help the slave traders it was kind of hard to say no when the White invaders had weaponry that was no match for what they had. MOST African countries tried to rebel against the invading slave traders. These are things that White Europe doesn't want you to know, because they want to keep their excuses for why they shouldn't be held accountable alive and well. And when I say "they" I am not talking about individual to individual, as if YOU personally should feel bad and pay something to me. Again I'm talking on the scale of government, and the families and corporations that are still rich to this day that benefited from slavery.

Get over your need to not feel guilty by saying things that totally undermine the scale and degree of barbarism that went on during slavery. Admitting it happened, and admitting that no one ever really addressed it is the first step, but there has to be more people in the dominant Western culture who get on board with this if we are going to see a REAL change. Yes White people ended slavery (Oh and I hate how that is brought up without mentioning that Black people did TRY to stop it, there were uprisings all the time on plantations but simply were never any match against the almighty gun) but once slavery ended no one said hey maybe these people need a little psychiatric support now that we've just set them free from the most traumatic thing in their life. That would have been the oppressors duty in the least. Instead Blacks were cast aside and still viewed as not equal to this day. Fighting the demons in their head that are handed down from generation to generation. Okay I'm done now. But yes I do get heated when non Blacks try to downplay slavery. Hope you read the article.:

  152. Ruva Kudambo says:

Someone should have said to her you are even wearing a hairpiece and have straightened your hair but don't see any impact whatsoever that slavery (colonialism/neo-colonialism) has had on you?

  153. These nations need to invest into the education systems and health care of descendent's of those they enslaved.

  154. Its interesting how people use their own life experiences to judge and gauge where others should be. Although the system of slavery changed the the game is still the same. Look no further than the prison system which disproportionately have a high rate of African males implicating their rights to vote, gain education, and even secure housing. Causing for African Diasporic males to reoffend leading to a vicious cycle

  155. Roman Austin says:

Stop making excuses for foulness Alysha. To say there is no disadvantage at all because we descended from slaves is ridiculous…I get the whole 'we are the world' crap, but this particular topic is about reparations…and like one of the people in the audience said, those reparations go into certain schemes that benefit the nations that were raped the most! who got paid for this show?…dunno but to me it was worth it just to bring the discussion to some kind of forefront.

  156. Roman Austin says:

…reparations should still be in order. I don't think anyone's being over sensitive, because 'reparations for slavery' is the topic of discussion. Why should justice not be done just because it's 'inconvenient' or awkward to talk about for some people?

  157. Roman Austin says:

Zane Spelman Dark skinned ppl are the original people of planet Earth. Of course everyone hates to hear that lol. 'Original' doesn't mean 'better than everyone else'…stop being insecure Zane.

  158. Roman Austin says:

Personally I don't care what she wears, but to imply 400 years of slavery has no effect on our people on a generational level is idiotic.

  159. Roman Austin says:

…if somebody murdered one of your family members yesterday, should he/she not serve justice because tomorrow is more important?

  160. Roman Austin says:

well 400 yrs of brainwashing just might indoctrinate a person a little, don't ya think? If a black person could be trained to hate his/herself, it is of no surprise there were some uncle toms around. If those black slave owners were to turn around & say 'fuck you' to the white powers of that time, what do you would've happen to that black slave owner? Honestly? Stop making excuse for foulness! Stick to the topic at hand which is 'Reparations'. Should the Jews have had reparations for what they went through with the nazis? damn right! So why is it so 'out of the question' for blacks?

  161. Live YR Is this a trick question? If not, than could you kindly be A LOT more specific in relation to the subject matter???

  162. "Many false prophets will arise and deceive many." I do read my Bible VERY thoughtfully and understand it very intricately; and it is there, in the revelations of the son of God that – to put it in a manner of the meek – false prophet after false prophet will continue to plague this Earth with twisted and perverted allusions to how the world is going to end or how the way of humankind should be. You're just another Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda.

  163. what part of what I said is untrue?

  164. Number one, that depends RELATIVELY upon who you think you're talking to. Second of all, why don't YOU read in between the lines this time. If you are going to quote the bible in such a way as to understand how it relates to your first post here, then you ALREADY know – to make a long story short – that no human being on God's green Earth can possibly project the future to such a T. While we're at it: You can fool ALL of the people some of the time and some of the people ALL of the time. Before I posted ANYTHING on this page I first viewed the video clip and then I read through all the (mostly) hateful and ignorant commentary.

  165. It's an interesting debate but indentured servitude and the enslavement of European cultures don't seem to have the same impact as African enslavement. Color and physical features were dead giveaways whereas you can't always tell that a person is from France, England or Norway by looking at them. That within itself makes it easy to continue prejudice that occurred due to slavery. The devil's advocate makes sense to a certain degree here but isn't talking about the inequality and the fact that although Blacks have been successful that it is still a tougher way of life after slavery.

  166. That so called Englishman, already KNEW the answers but kept on putting out MISLEADING information

  167. Live YR I love history, as in I love to STUDY and embrace (or otherwise) where it has led humanity as a people today – with Christianity as my faith being the very heart of the matter and the backbone of it all.

  168. how arrogant it is to claim that this comfortable white bigotsprivilege based on a mythical enslavement his far ancestors might have suffered. evidently this problem of his "people' has been long ago resolved

  169. did I hear she was in a MENTAL institution, this defender of white bigoted men?

  170. she said she was from a mental institution, she said that!

  171. Just one more little thing. Creationism birthed humankind from the Holy Land of Mesopotamia in what is now North East Africa; I'm very well aware and happily content that the Motherland of Africa 'gave birth to the world.

  172. Farntella Graham How (am I full of crap)? I'm walking the plank here just to try and get a simple answer.

  173. Nice profile Mr. Stewart. I seriously hope somebody has hacked into your account.

  174. Joshua Lewis says:

Tommy Mr Controversy Sotomayor YOUR WORLD, MY VIEWS

  175. Celestea Deanes yes U did.

  176. I appreciate the independent thinking, as in giving your thoughts not JUST to the subject at hand but to the bigger picture both subjectively AND objectively. I extremely appreciate it. If you can take my meaning -with the heads up manner in which you are both way ahead of your time in AND just as conscientiously aware of before it- as a sentient man clearly aware of whats around you, we ALL have a history that will bind together some day. But a lot of what I am seeing in the comments on these boards is NOTHING but divide and hate.

  177. Ky McMillion says:

The Bible, regardless of the amount of whitewashing it has undergone is only a rumor and story book to some but is the remains of the history of the lineage of the cutoff chosen…

  178. Ruva Kudambo This is exactly what I said – she is wearing her colonialism/slave history on her own head,.

  179. Live YR, I don't think reparation is needed, for two reasons; if you believe in the bible slavery was Gods way of punishing he's people for disobeying him, you don't give a child payment for completing their punishment.
The other reason is reparations can be a nice thing but for what reason is reparations needed. When someone says reparation 98.7% of people think and hear $ MONEY $, and money will not change racism, how races look at and feel about one another or even get a heart felt honest truthful apology from the reparations seekers oppressors. So should African Americans get reparations, I would say that I couldn't care less, because for a fact it will not change the sad predicament in which they find themselves in.

  180. I understand how this guy sounds but dont forget only a couple months ago 250 school girls were kidnapped in africa by boco haram and will most likely be sold into sex slavery, it happens today what these groups do to tjere own people.

  181. being born an afro caribbean person mean being disadvantage our parents and grand perants had to lands or no wealth to secure our future therefore we have to fight to get ahead in life, not saying that we want things easy but we're at a disadvantage. let me draw this to you attention there are large number of serians living in the caribbean and prospering why because they come here with large sums of money to which they invest and start business buy land and therefore build a legacy for their families. black people never had that advantage.

  182. yes, the african slave trade was unparalled in human history. unparalled. you are psychotic if you think it should just be forgotten without compensation. england went around the world colonizing its people. "open the flood gates." england threw open the gates when they invaded practically every people on earth.

  183. Sister Esther Stanford-Xosei UK

  184. Though I have my reservations (on who), the discussion of reparations is an important one; but now I'm wondering if ANYBODY on the planet (or in the universe) has though about starting off with making England pay (or at least be a part of this discussion)?

  185. Samson Amosu says:

This is the issues we[blacks] have consistently used to keep ourselves down there. 150yrs is long enough for us to get over this. At the time(1930s) of abolition of Slavery, the JEWS were practically at the same level as the blacks in America. They faced holocaust in Germany and persecution everywhere in Europe and even in America. But instead of complaining and and seeking for social help and legislation for assimilation into the mainstream, they worked hard using education to create wealth and since wealth is power, they eventually created industries – Investment Banking(Golman Sachs, Citi Group, Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers etc), Hollyowood(MGM, Paramount Pictures, 21st Century Studios), Fashion(Calvien Klein, Ralph, Levis, Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole, etc). In the computer Industry(Irvin Jacobs-Qualcomm, Michael Dell, Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Blooberg, Larry Elison, Google boys, Whatsapp boys, etc) I can continue and you will be surprised about the success of these people(Jews). They did not complain. They just focused on solving their problem. They knew education was/is important and they used it as a tool to create wealth and got their freedom. Today, they control and owned almost everything. Find out their role in OBAMA presidency success. They are less than 2% of America population. I don't want to talk about how destructive BET has been to the Africa America youths. BET just nurture the blacks youths in America that they cannot do anything else apart from Sports and Entertainment. I know there are exceptions. Very few. We blacks back in Africa, also like to blame the white for slavery that ended for over 150yrs. Our leaders have failed and the youths have been very disappointing in most ways too. At the time the India youths were embracing Internet for skills acquisition and new way of learning technology, our youths in Africa adopted Internet for scamming purposes. Today, while the India youths are known all over the internet as professionals and billions of dollars is sent from all over the world to India for outsourcing services, Africa youths are complaining of lack of Jobs. Few have done well and I must recognize those. But by and large, we must learn from the the Jews and Indians. Lets focus EDUCATION, which can be used to create wealth. If we do have education and wealth and don't have to depend on white for anything, then we will not remember we were once enslaved. Please, lets forget the past and move forward. Tupac put it best, Nobody can keep a black man down. Nobody is responsible for our lack of progress, we are responsible and we must do something about it.

  186. Current impact? I'm failing to see any current impact from colonialism. The only racist thing in this video is saying she supposedly "corrects" an "ignorant" English man. Frankly he's not ignorant at all and even more frank is how we're still discussing slavery as if its "currently" a problem. Talk about self pity, I'm sick of the slavery blame BS I was never a slaver my grandfather never was and neither my great grandfather and you were never a slave either. Enough is enough the one lady had it right… how are we going to move forward if every black person demands some sort of restitution for the misfortunes of their ancestors. In that case the Vatican owes me for the murder of my Norse ancestors during the crusades.

  187. Slavery n colonialism are two different things that have had different impacts though similar. The way Africans see the whites is different from the carribeans or the blacks of descendants in the West. We have had different experiences! I believe the biggest impact of slavery or colonisation is we being brain washed into thinking that our systems n culture are primitive n inferior. They broke us and continue to because they need us, not for slavery now but for our resources.
They don't have gold, diamond or oil in abundance but Africa has all these and more. I always wondered y the buyer stated the price. Our depts are due to their system!!

  188. Randi Gary says:

Accountability is the name of the game…the lady Bernadette sounds like booboo the fool. Not everyone was given the same opportunities and chances that she had and that's great for her.

Then the guy chimed in about British during doing all this great stuff buuut you were the one that started it…

  189. Eric Payne says:

We always want to blame the "white man" for today's mistakes and problems at hand. I'm sorry to say but for 85% of problems we face today cannot be faced with the same old bullshit about "the white man" doesn't want us to succeed, he does want us to have power, etc etc. You cant blame a whole culture for the problems of another anymore Black people have the ability to gain power and respect just as everyone else, the real problem is " Can they handle the power, can they handle respect?" the other 15% i would say is true as a human being we all face problems of acceptance, problems of denial, and problems of forgiveness and acceptance because this is what we are taught. If we continue to blame " the white man" we need to seriously look in the mirror and blame ourselves. ( I intend to not deface the value of our history or the events we have been through) i speak on the behalf of my belief in Sankofa To look back at our past to better our future.

  190. Aaron Grey says:

The lady (Bernadette M. Ragget) with the horse hair disturbs me deeply how she tries to tell the studio audience that blacks should "move on" and quit holding on to what had happened to our ancestors. I don't like it when black folk think(or talk) in that type of manner.

  191. How do you think white folks got us? Thats right .. Black ass Africans sold their own people to the Europeans , for silly shit like guns and New Buildings on the ivory coast. Black people want to talk about what white folks did to us, while at the same time we are being slaughtered in Chicago by our own people. Blacks are obsessed with race and cannot function because they think some white man is plotting in a secret room all the time against Blacks. Everything is the white mans fault, but you dont even take advantage of the rights that our ancestors fought for. Calling women Bitches and Hos in music , shooting each other over the most trivial stuff. We have the worst Crabs in a barrel mentality like no other race, yet its the whitemans fault.. You know how and why white folks took advantage of us? because we are weak, they saw the silly shit Africans believed in and exploited that. Silly Africans fighting and enslaving their own people. and they saw how Blacks are quick to turn on each other. White folks were only trying to survive like any other species and they found us silly weak ass Blacks and now look where we are? Look where the white man is? you are here crying and complaining , while the white man is inventing iphones and Facebook… The truth hurts…

  192. A tipical house Negress especially planted to argue against, even today as Haiti is still paying a price for the abolition of slavery.

  193. Britt Barton says:

The Englishmen said 3,000 blacks in the US owned slaves, but in reality they owned their parents etc that weren't somehow freed or born free. Blair Underwood's ancestors owned slaves that were family members. It was smart. That guy spewed a lot of disinformation.

  194. Victor Gh says:

I recommend everyone here to watch the YouTube video titled: "The Truth About Slavery: Past, Present and Future" by Stefan Molyneux

  195. Both sides in this discussion are correct and each perspective has merit, when you consider the need to move on if you are able. The victim of a crime not able or willing to move forward is often hindered in their ability to be productive and/or teach others how to move forward as well. As a mighty people and understanding leaders like Elijah Muhammad and others we knew that self reliance was our pathway to mental and physical Freedom.

  196. WHERE ARE THE BLACK MEN IN ALL THIS !!
THEY DO NOT RESPECT US AS MEN AND THEY PUT OUR WOMEN IN THE FRONT TO SPEAK FOR US WHILE OUR MEN ARE IN THE BACK SILENT

WE ARE MISREPRESENTED ON ALL SIDES

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW REAL HISTORY GO ON MY YOUTUBE PAGE:

  197. Curtis Flood says:

We are hated so much by them because they know the TRUTH about us…, and they have used our people to build industries, and the wealth of the whole usa, and they tend to keep it all for themselves and those in support of their scheme…, and sale us hell in doing so.

  198. WHAT A COON! That sista' should be ashamed of herself!

  199. As the Beautiful Sister stated.
    "The Black experience is unparalleled".
Enough of these KKKlansmen and their discounting the actual reality!
The Coonish boot licking "Devils Advocate" still wants her Mass-sa! SMDH!

  200. The issue of reparations is on going in my country as well. Honestly, I wish I were there because as an African American I am as much part of this discussion along with all the Afro-Brits in that audience. Although it's a valid point that about the wealth of Great Britain as a result of the slave trade, everyone seems to forget even when great Britain abolished slavery from 1787 to finally in 1833, still both England and Scotland supported slavery in the South in my country, especially in our Civil War.. Further, traded, built and supplied ships, weapons and alike to the Confederacy during our Civil War. Therefore the wealth of the British Empire continued well into the late1860s as a result of Slavery. What everyone isn't addressing is that between 12 million to 38 million black people were taken in the most horrific inhuman "Forced Migrations" in the history of the world. Further, that it could possibly be that many of the Black people in this audience taking part in this discussion may also be part of my very same family tree.. I, equally have a right to be in this discussion just as much as the Black people in this audience. Further the wealth of the Spanish and Portuguese still continued as a result of slavery until finally stopped as an indirect result by our Spanish American War in the late 1890s. What this discussion really needed are all of us now throughout Europe as we are the children of the African Diaspora. As an example, I point to the Rothschild's of England and France that financed the building of slave ships and were insured by Lloyds of London and traded in the British and French Stock Exchanges. No-No, this discussion is very incomplete with me, Canada and others throughout Europe.

  201. Eady Trice says:

    This was a great conversation.

  202. The one playing devils advocate, is more then likely married to or dating a white man…doesn't she sound just like Charles Barkley and that guy that was on YouTube calling black people the plants of the apes, Jonathan Gentry, who are both married to white women. Believe me when a black mess around and or marry a white woman, he loses something, and I really believe, it's. Something vital to the black mans masculinity.

  203. OMG! Coonery @ its finest!

  204. Noel Atkins says:

we should stop pretending like reparations arent about money… and that it's about "more than the money" f-ck that. it's about money. it's about economic empowerment. it's about the privledges and doors and community empowerment that money enables. If you wanna see police stop killing black men… Give negroes some money and a tad bit of financial education. Money makes bosses; money makes owners… Ain't nobody f-ckin with our Jewish brethren… that's because if they do, somebody is getting fired by their boss come Monday morning. It's also quite easy to put a plan in place FOR reparations: it's simple… unless you can prove direct lineage to individual decendants of slavers who inherited wealth, then just as a class action would go… attorneys place ads on tv and social media to sign clients, most of the pot coming from legacy Fortune 500 companies would constitute most of the monies… that pot would be split between educational funds and small business loans for American Blacks who can prove lineage dating back to American chattle slavery. The Native Americans (of which many of us are as well) received casinos and tribes grew very wealthy from that. It's not that hard, and certainly not impossible, but the power structure in this country would change indeffinitly. Many people, including most immigrants would be adverse to this. Understand that most immigrants such as Zimmerman define success by their proximity to being defined, seen, and accepted as "white"not white the color… but "white" as in social status; hence people like Bobby Jindal

  205. Yaa Spirit says:

IN ADDITION…BLACK PEOPLE'S BABIES WERE FED AS ALLIGATOR BAIT, TEETH WERE TAKEN AND USED FOR WHITE'S DENTURES, BLACK PEOPLE WERE ROUNDED UP THRU THE CONVICT LEASE LAWS OF THE 1800'S WHEREAS MOST ALL THE HISTORICAL EVIDENCE WAS REMOVED FROM YOU TUBE 2 YEARS AGO…. AMOUNST ALL OF THE OTHER UNKNOWN, HIDDEN HORRENDOUS ACTS TAKEN AGAINST OUR PEOPLE. FAMILIES WERE LOST REMOVED AND KILLED….IDENTITIES, NAMES, BLOODLINES…ECT.

  206. Gail Walker says:

As soon as white people in American realize what 250 years of free labor gave them, advantages that they still hold to this day.

  207. Michael Bkb says:

THOSE TOO SWEET HEADED ONES DO NOT GET IT!

  208. Autumn Gray says:

Where is this rest of this video

  209. The very foundation that built the European empire, was African resources. And African slaves. Europeans are masters or mind games. They traumatized the entire globe to desire white.

  210. KY well said. We are the issue not whites. We were conditioned to need their approval for everything we do. When we fight and kill each other, when our boys form gangs and hurt each other, they like it, then they too get in on it and kill the "good" boys who will amount to something other than a street thug. That is the conditioning of their parents who were conditioned by their parents and so forth. All people of color originated as the descendants of the original Jews. The Jews nowadays are really the descendants of the Gentiles that accepted Jesus' sacrifice. They stole our identity and proceeded to kill us off, culture at a time….There are still original Jews still living somewhere in Africa, but the media (jews) are trying to discredit the bloodline.

  211. Danton Sealy Agreed,

  212. Most of the cops are jews, and most had white grans juries and most we aquitted or not charged even though videos show their guilt.

  213. Brenda Nero says:

Black and white are "knot-races." They are states of mind not respective of skin color or the lack thereof.

  214. STUPID WOMAN, IF WE SHOULD MOVE FORWARD AND AWAY FROM OUR HISTORY AND THE EVIL DONE TO THE BLACK RACE WHY DOn't THE WORLD SAY THE SAME TO TH JEWS?

  215. Thanks for posting this.

  216. That black woman in the middle of the two white guys is moron and stupid idiot and ignorant, your dad educated you with stupid and to be an idiot ugly bitch…
