On tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy season 9, Episode 19 “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” a gas tanker explodes on a highway, resulting in multiple injuries; Jo and Meredith try to help a frantic woman, whose child has a mysterious illness; Alex is forced to work with Jo’s boyfriend.
Grey’s Anatomy revolves around how the doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital deal with life-or-death consequences on a daily basis – it’s in one another that they find comfort, friendship and, at times, more than friendship. Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo), along with interns Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, George O’Malley and Alex Karev’s, medical world revolved around textbooks and professors yesterday, but today they are experiencing medicine first-hand as surgical interns at Seattle Grace Hospital, a teaching hospital with one of the toughest residency programs in the nation. Here, they must learn to balance their personal lives with their highly competitive professional lives, all while dealing with the daily stress of life and death situations. Together they’re discovering that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white. Real life only comes in shades of grey.
The series stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres, Eric Dane as Mark Sloan, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, Jessica Capshaw as Arizona Robbins, Sarah Drew as April Kepner and Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery.
