Olympus Has Fallen: 10 Things You Should Know Before You Go See It

If you’ve been debating whether to see Olympus Has Fallen when it debuts in theaters this weekend, then you’ve come to the right place.  Gerard Butler brings his butt-kicking Secret Service Agent, Mike Banning, to the table, and he’s backed up by a team of A-listers well known for bringing it. Antoine Fuqua sat at the helm, and with Training Day under his belt, we know it’s safe to say he’s got potential to ring bells in the industry.

However, if that’s still not enough to help make your mind up one way or another, we’ve compiled (with the help of Moviefone) a list of 10 things you should know about the film to help prime you without spoiling it for you.

In case you’re still unclear about what Olympus Has Fallen is all about, the film follows Butler’s character, Banning,  as he’s stuck working at a desk job after falling out of favor with the Secret Service. To make matters worst,  North Korean terrorists decide it would be a great time to storm the White House and take President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) hostage. This forces Banning to reactivate his “special set of skills” and — with the guidance of his boss, Secret Service Director Lynn Jacobs (Angela Bassett) and the Speaker of the House Alan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) — rescue the President before the terrorist leader Kang (Rick Yune) has his way.

To see if  Fuqua’s  film is worth it, check out the 10 things you should know about Olympus Has Fallen.
