Watch This: 'Filmography 2012'

Since 2010, YouTube video-maker Gen Ip has made an annual tradition of editing together footage from pretty much every single movie to come out during the year into an epic, impressionistic collage of the year in film. Ip uploaded year’s edition a few hours ago, and it’s spectacular. It’s an emotional roller coaster, aggregating the highs and lows of the many diverse movies to come out in 2012. Her editing skills are unparalleled; marvel at how she cuts everything together.

So, without further ado, check out Filmography 2012 for yourself. See how many of the movie clips you can identify, and figure out what you still have to see from this year (Hint: you probably need to see Beasts of the Southern Wild, at the very least. Probably the best movie of the year, right there). This was such a great year for movies.
