Shia LaBeouf has scored a role in Lars von Trier’s upcoming erotic project titled The Nymphomaniac.
The film features the erotic awakening of a woman who tells her story by recalling the events in the life. Charlotte Gainsbourg will play the main role alongside Stellan Skarsgard who plays her husband.
There is very little details on what role LaBeouf will be playing in the film, but there are rumors floating around that he will play one of the love interest of Gainsbourg’s character.
The Nymphomaniac, is scheduled to begin production this September in the German state of North-Rhein. The film will be released in two versions, a softcore edition and a more explicit one.
Other rumored cast members include Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman, who previously worked with von Trier in Dogville.
LaBeouf can be seen next in a string of indie films that include John Hillcoat’s Prohibition-era drama Lawless (August 29th), then Robert Redford’s thriller, The Company You Keep (February 15th, 2013) and Fredrik Bond’s action rom-com, The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman (2013).
A release date for The Nymphomaniac has not been announced.
