Zoe Saldana Stuns at Paris Armani Show, Tells of New Film Role

She hasn’t had a hit movie since portraying a Na’Vi princess in the blockbuster Avatar, but actress Zoe Saldana was treated like fashion royalty at the Giorgio Armani Prive couture show in Paris tonight.

Seated in the very front row next to Italian screen siren Sophia Loren and Roberta Armani, the designer’s niece, the 35-year-old looked as stunning as the models on the catwalk.

Zoe wore a fabulous shimmery knee-length dress in a heavy fabric of orange and lavender.

The colors combined with the thick fabric almost created the illusion she was wearing a dress made of snake skin scales.

The dress was slightly cinched at the waist and featured a high collar with large straps that enveloped her bronzed shoulders.

No adornments were necessary. Zoe paired the fabulous dress with a pair of black peep-toed high heels and carried a matching clutch.

The one piece of jewelry the actress wore besides a simple ring was a thin ankle bracelet on her left leg.

Her sleek dark hair was set with a slight wave and it cascaded beautifully past her shoulders.

Saldana was there for day two of Paris fashion week.

The Armani show featured a sumptuous fall-winter 2012 haute couture collection. Like Zoe’s desert-looking dress, the designer used hues of the sun, include mauve and lavender.

Following the show, Zoe told Woman’s Wear Daily that she had just wrapped some scenes on actor-director Guillaume Canet’s “Blood Ties,” which co-stars Clive Owen and Marion Cotillard.

‘It’s a Seventies cop New York movie, and I know it’s a remake of a film that Guillaume had done here in France years ago,’ she said.

‘I play a character that lives in New York  and is sort of intertwined in the whole story of it all, I guess. I don’t want to say much.’
