Gerard Butler is now in talks to claim his role in the action thriller Manhunt.
The story follows a team of FBI agents on a mission in North Carolina to capture the FBI’s most wanted man, James Tollan. He is a domestic terrorist and survivalist, who managed to evade capture after attacking the federal government. To help aid with the efforts, the FBI has reached out to a bear hunter to help detain the terrorist. Once they’re in the deep woods of the Carolinas, the hunters become the hunted as Tollan will stop at nothing to avoid capture and defend his territory.
The film will be directed by The Crazies’ Breck Eisner and Mark Fergus. Hawk Ostby wrote the script and Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher are producing along with Alexander Milchan’s EMJAG Films. Alan Siegel, Scott Lambert and Alexandra Milchan will executive produce.
IM Global is paying for the production of the film. Manhunt is set to begin shooting at the end of the year.
