Mariah Carey Returns To The Stage Amid Nick Cannon Health Scare

Mariah Carey jumped back into performance mode at the Gotham Hall in New York City a day after her husband, Nick Cannon health update revealed his battle with a lupus-like autoimmune disease and ten months after giving birth to her twins.

The “Dreamlover” singer was part of the Escape of Total Rewards concerts, but her biggest reward was showing off her curvaceous body in a fitted, black mermaid gown that flattered her newly-sculpted 70lb weight loss physique.

Sean “Diddy” Combs opened for the diva, rocking out to some of his chart-toppers like “All About the Benjamins,” “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems” and “Coming Home.” And former Spice Girls member, Melanie Brown, served as emcee for the musical snippets of the evening.

Carey had a full band with backup dancers as she did her usual set of hitting high notes and primping on stage with a diamond-encrusted microphone in tow. Her 40-minute performance was filled with some of her most memorable hits like “Always Be My Baby,” “We Belong Together,” “I’ll Be There” and “Obsessed.”

The 41-year-old didn’t complete her act without shouting out her hubby and “dem babies,” twins Moroccan and Monroe.

“Do I bring dem babies out?… They should be in bed!” she told the crowd. “I really wanted to bring them here tonight, but Monroe is sometimes shy and takes a while to warm up to an audience.”

The Grammy winner closed with “Hero” and had the crowd singing along, but finished with a reminder to all her fans to be on the lookout for her real tour.
