Macaulay Culkin just does not look the same. What has happened to the adorable child actor from Home Alone? Fans were shocked, scared, and concerned to see such a gaunt, scruffy-looking Macaulay Culkin in a recent photo snapped on the streets of New York.
In the ET photo, a really skinny Culkin looks well beyond his 31 years of age. The Home Alone actor was seen posing with a fan and holding a can of Red Bull.
The picture of a gaunt Culkin has sparked much concern over the actor’s health, as shown by many of the more than 4,000 comments on the Yahoo! story . One commenter wrote, “Dude needs a hug & a cheeseburger,” while another joked that the former child star looked like he was about to play “Homeless Alone.” Others wondered if the look was for a role.
Looks can very well be deceiving because despite the actor’s haggard appearance in the photo, Culkin’s rep tells ET, “Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health.”
Culkin shot to fame as the 8-year-old child star of the Home Alone franchise. At the height of his stardom, the child actor was considered the most successful young celebrity since Shirley Temple.
Although Culkin rose to fame in his child years and has not experienced the same kind of success as an adult, the actor has continued to find work in and out of Hollywood. He appeared in movies like Richie Rich, Saved, and Party Monster. Culkin also moved into TV appearances on shows like Will and Grace and became the voice on the Seth Green show Robot Chicken. There are rumors currently flying around that Culkin most recently landed a role in the British military action comedy Service Man, which comes out in 2013.
