Brad Pitt has revealed the reason he has recently been seen walking with a cane. The actor fell while carrying his daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt during a skiing trip.
“It was a little slip over New Year’s Eve. A little bit of damage, but everything’s fine”, said Pitt at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala. “I was carrying my daughter down a slope and I slipped. It was me or her. She’s fine.”
At the film festival, the star sported his black cane while interacting with fans on the red carpet. During the event, he accepted the Desert Palm Achievement Award for his roles in “Moneyball” and “Tree of Life.”
His partner Angelina Jolie mentioned Pitt’s injury saying, “It is cool.” “When [Maddox] was younger, I took a fall and cracked my elbow because I wanted to make sure he didn’t have the fall … Every parent has injured themselves. Every parent will stand in the line of fire for their kids. So it’s a normal thing. He does everything still … I’m proud of him every single day.”
Pitt tore his medial collateral ligament, which won’t require surgery to heal.
