Update-Kim Kardashian had a moment Monday night to remember her father, attorney Robert Kardashian. The reality TV attended the 2011 Angels Ball and dazzled in a very fitted, black and white, low cut dress.
Although Kim just recently arrived from her Dubai trip with mom Kris Jenner, she still made time to attend New York’s Angel Ball which raises money for cancer research. Kim’s father died of esophageal cancer in 2003, she had no reservations about tweeting to eager fans that she would dedicate her appearance to him.
“Heading to The Angel Ball with @lala! Its an event for cancer research, can’t wait to share my story tonight & honor my dad!”
Kim was joined by bestie La La Vazquez Anthony, who was also the epitome of style as she wore a stunning Grecian style, pink gown.
Other notable attendees included model Naomi Campbell who was joined by boyfriend or possible fiance Vladislav Doronin, EVE who wore a fire-engine red two piece, Tina Knowles with her youngest daughter Solange who was a vision in white and a slimmed down Natalie Cole who wore a stunning gold and emerald studded gown.
Kim Kardashian said of her father a the event, “I wish we knew a little more about the disease,” she said. “My dad didn’t really want to tell anyone he was sick. He wouldn’t even tell his parents he was sick. He didn’t tell them until like a week before he passed away. He was the kind of guy [who] never wanted to go to the doctor to see what was wrong, because he hated doctors — sorry, doctors out there.”
Kim added to People magazine, “When I look at Mason he’s so much like my dad. He gives these facial expressions sometimes that look just like my dad.”
“My dad would have loved him.”
