Naomi Campbell may be up for the fight of her life now that her married boyfriend’s wife, Ekaterina, is planning to cite the supermodel as the reason for the end of their 24-year marriage, according to the Daily Mail.
‘Vladimir and Naomi are very much in love and are happy together,’ says a friend.
Campbell, 41, began dating Vladimir/Vladislav Doronin in 2008 after meeting him at the Cannes Film Festival, but is said to be devastated that the estranged wife is involving her affair with the married billionaire as the culprit for the demise of their relationship.
“Naomi is pleased that Ekaterina has finally agreed to give Vladimir a divorce, but she is upset she is planning on blaming her for the marriage breakdown. She is no home wrecker,” says a friend.
The supermodel thinks the blame being placed on her is egregious since the 49-year-old property mogul had a seven year relationship with another woman (while he was married) prior to his extramarital affair with her.
“The truth is that Vladimir had been separated from her for a very long time when he and Naomi got together,” the friend said.
Ekaterina has been married to Vladimir for 24 years and they have a daughter, Katia, 15. His wife is believed to want a substantial slice of his huge fortune.
“It’s a ridiculous affair. Vladimir is married to me and we are still a couple. Naomi is deluding herself if she thinks she can take my husband.”
A friend of Campbell suggests this divorce will not be an easy ordeal for Naomi or Vladimir, but the leggy supermodel is hoping she’s closer to a proposal.
