White Trump Voter Begs for Forgiveness During Focus Group: ‘I’ve Enabled a Monster’

A regretful Trump supporter apologized Tuesday, expressing deep remorse for backing the former “Apprentice” star in the 2016 presidential election.

During a CNN focus group discussing Trump’s presidency, independent voter Sydney Cohan asked America’s forgiveness for voting for Donald Trump and vowed to make amends for her decision.

“I just want to say to every American that’s having trouble with this — I am sorry that I voted for him,” she told host Alisyn Camerota. “I regret it with all my heart. I feel like I’ve enabled this monster to destroy democracy, destroy everything that’s good in this country.”

Cohan, who said she intends to vote Democratic in the upcoming midterm elections, said she’s even been out canvassing, going door-to-door to encourage folks in her state of Wyoming to vote for a Democrat.

“I believe hardly anything the president says,” she added. “But I do believe he’s a danger to this country and to our democracy, and I’m going to fight everyday.

Lifelong Republican Dale Mullholland agreed, saying he plans to vote a straight Democratic ticket for the first time in his life and recently switched his party affiliation from Republican to independent. He told Camerota that candidates affiliated with Trump “are not connected to me.”

Meanwhile, Nancy Celentano lamented that Trump and the GOP “have no values.”
