Kandi Burrus and Todd Tucker Blasted for Posting Video of Son Pretending to Get Shot By Cop

Kandi Burruss’ adorable clip of her son Ace Wells Tucker with his dad Todd Tucker was meant to be a cute clip filled with “morning shenanigans” but the lightheartedness took a serious turn when folks questioned the cop-perpetrator set up of the skit.

“Morning shenanigans with @todd167 & @acewellstucker,” Burruss captioned the Tuesday, June 26 clip. “This is take 2 of Todd’s acting classes. I’m gonna put Take 1 & 3 on my Insta story. #DaddyDaycare #ToddAndAce ♠❤♠❤ #RaisingAce.”

The video shows 2-year-old Ace playing a perpetrator whom his dad, who plays a policeman, has to shoot.

“Ready, Ace?” Tucker asks his son before he says in character, “Stop!” and pulls the trigger of a toy gun.

“Oh!” Ace says as the suspect. “You shot me, you shot me!”

Some fans thought the clip was adorable.

“I see a remake of cop 1/2 @kandi.”

“CTFU that face was priceless.”

“Too funny and cute 😂😂😂.”

“I can’t with @todd167 with the dramatic scene! 😂😂👏👏👏great job Ace.”

But others expressed concern with the idea of a young Black boy acting as if he was shot.

“Can’t believe you would have your 2-year-old Black son ‘pretending’ to get shot by the police at that! Unacceptable and sad. Haven’t you been in tune to what’s happening? Nothing is cute about this!”

“Not cute! With Black men being murdered by the police!”

“Why would you have this scenario about a police officer and a gun when at this age he’s going to be afraid of [police] and especially with us color ppl getting killed every day by police.”

“I love y’all! I really do, I think y’all and your love is dope. However, I’m disappointed in this post! What are you … teaching the young king in regards going on in this country dealing with police brutality? Ball dropped on this one😔.”

While Kandi clapped back at a hater on her page the other day, she hasn’t responded to the chatter about her son’s cop scene.
